Ya’ll keep cupping the sack

I wonder what percentage of sack cuppers really believe in the man and what percentage are helplessly trying to convince themselves that this is ‘the guy’ so that we aren’t looking at 2027 or 2028 being the next bowl. GT football currently has full on late era Hewitt-Gregory potential right now, which is kind of shocking considering 6-6, 4-4 was the minimum for two decades.

He has to win next year. If he is shown the door, he will leave more talent than he inherited. Someone will win with the roster we will have the next few years.

2027 fans - Remember when we used to be mediocre? Those were the good ole days.
Who would of thought that when CGC intro Press Conf when he said "bring tech back in the NATIONAL Conversation" he meant as one of the worse programs in FBS ..... Everyone thought (especially the CPJ haters) that he woud bring ACC titles, Glory and a NATTY.... They thought CPJ was holding the program back and the reason we only went to two Orange Bowls, three ACC Championships with one Crowned was somehow not a good look and Geoff Collins would save us from all of this.....

Instead we have a Collins Circus on the FLATS..... Donors, the AD, and all CPJ Haters might need to actually start to respect what CPJ did for teh Georgia Tech program because in a few years it will be known National as the Good Ole days "when GT Football actually could competed and they won"

…And pleasing the Moms. (Yes I know, mine included)

This coaching staff from top to bottom is the worst I’ve seen in my roughly 30 years of following Tech football.

I have tremendous respect for the SAs, but this clown show is ridiculous.
Horseshit. Stop crying. We lost by 3 on the road yesterday to a team that has managed to get hot at the right time. It wasn't a blowout loss.

Yes, we have major issues on defense needing fixed

I think we have improved greatly from year to year. With more maturity and another great recruiting class or two, I think we will be pretty good. I give CGC all the credit in the world for the turnaround. I am very optimistic.
Greatly? Really? We won 3 games in Year 1, 3 games in Year 2, and appear to be headed for 3 wins this year as well. That’s great improvement for you?

Look, if we turn things around next year and win 7+ games, I’ll change my tune. But let’s not pretend this season is anything less than a failure for the coaching staff at this point. Perhaps it’s slightly less of a failure since we’re just losing instead of getting humiliated, but I tend to set my bar a little higher that that.

Ho much money you got laying around?

We lost by 3 in a game we weren't favored to win which most of the whiny crowd on here was predicting would be a blowout. We have to get over the hump, especially on defense. A lot of work to do.

We do have a few promising commits on the DL and a LB. Hopefully, they come in and contribute and add depth.

My fear now is some of you assholes are finding every possible avenue to öööö on our program. Mrs Ivey has called us out on it and I think we will lose recruits to other schools because of it. We cannot afford that.

I get it, assholes, you aren't happy. If Collins doesn't so the job, he won't be the long time coach of GT. Meanwhile we are absolutely in a building mode. Seems like some of you are doing everything possible to run off any chance of us gaining any more players who could help us. I don't understand it.

I do know that my words here are meaningless and y'all will continue to spread your diarrhea to message boards, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We likely will suffer on the recruiting trail because of it. The GT Football Facebook page is such a mess of trolling and öööö posting our program, coaches, and players now that I really wouldn't blame recruits for going elsewhere and avoiding our toxic little cheap ass nerd asshole fans.

What if I told you the people you call sack cuppers don't like what they see either?

Just shut the öööö up already. If you can't see that we have a QB completing 60%+ of his passes, which has not happened in for ööööing ever and you can't see whe have battled to make games closer and are actually competitive, then öööö off.

These close games are games we should win when we have the depth on the DL and OL. Our defense needs help, it is obvious. It is also obvious we have improved.

Some of our "fans" would be gleeful to watch our staff get canned year 3, see Gibbs, Sims, Ivey, and others transfer out, and watch GT hire a Bohannon to lead us back to the glory days. Sad that we have gotten to the point where we consider glory days having a mediocre record and maybe sneaking a win from UGAg every so often.
If somehow Collins gets fired or is forced from the program after this season, JJacket will be hitting the transfer portal from GT Football. The stupidity of our fanbase is astounding.

I can see all of that. I literally described it in my post. I also have hope that next year we’ll be better as CGC recruits take upperclassman/leadership roles and we are able to compete better on the lines.

But for now, I’m not gonna be happy about it. We’re a garbage team, and yesterday we lost despite getting an absurd amount of breaks. The last time I remember a team gifting us that many fumbles, we went up 28-0 in the 1st quarter and slaughtered them.

Why would Gibbs, Sims, Ivey transfer out if we brought in a competent coaching staff? They worried about competition (doubtful), getting their balls busted in practice for half assing it (maybe), getting pulled from the game by repeating botching your assignment (could be), fear of bringing in talent to compete for your spot (possible), etc. I’m more worried they bolt from this dumpster fire.

Gibbs could be a RB talked about as a 1st/2nd round draft pick on most winning teams and a potential Heisman candidate on several top contending teams. The NFL may still move him up the draft board because of their talent evaluation process but he’s costing himself $$ staying here. Sims will never get drafted without someone to coach him on QB mechanics and game management. He’s a QB transition to something else right now if he wants any NFL future. Sims will need a redshirt year to focus on being a QB, then 2 solid years after that. Not sure about Ivey, but he’s not racking up stats (he’s a Soph). Again, maybe a competent coaching staff gets him on the draft board. This staff will hold him back.

I have no idea what all this fear of better coaching is all about? Do we want no competition?

Gibbs is phenomenal, but I do not understand how Collins continues to get so much street cred for bringing in Simms. He'd be a great WR/Safety/DB (or gasp, option quarterback), but he is not a pro-style QB. He plays mindlessly.

For that matter, everyone talks up Collins' recruiting so much, but we're in Year 3 and the only player who is discernibly a cut above what CPJ was bringing in is Gibbs. Everyone else visibly appears to be a CPJ-level talent but in a system that doesn't hide talent weaknesses. We're in a P5 conference in Atlanta, it shouldn't take that long for a noticeable increase in athleticism. Year 3, you should have some juniors and sophomores who are clearly higher-level players, even if they're not fully polished yet. AND we're in the transfer portal era. Why is he getting so much credit for recruiting?

Exactly. Our fanbase is so stupid it laughed at and mocked our team while they were winning games only to bring in their hand picked guy to win 3 games a year. Then they continue to dig in their heels against the previous offense that nearly went 5-6 against UGA, because they want to see if we can get to .500 with their boyfriend.

The guy left and his coaching tree consists of 3 guys. The offense is no longer magical, given the rule changes. I get being unhappy with where we are. I don't get the continued obsession with one offensive system.

Who in our fanbase was laughing at and mocking our team when we won games? You're literally just making öööö up now
