Ya’ll keep cupping the sack

UGAg was separating themselves from us and putting further distance between themselves and us. We were never going to be able to equal them again.

UGAg and Clemson were literally standing waiting for our ball carriers. We were getting brutally manhandled. The dive was getting covered almost as fast as the mesh. DE's we're up field and waiting to hit the QB a second after the snap. We were barely executing plays. Our team was getting manhandled

Anyone watching our 2018 season should have been able to clearly see we were regressing. Anyone saying we were building is a fool
Oh No! We couldn’t beat national championship contenders with our mediocre teams. Just like every other team not named Alabama during the same timeframe.

UGAg has been national championship contenders since Richt showed up. Didn't give Chan much of an excuse for losing to them.

Chan was a stupid firing. It was a further example of Tech having unrealistic expectations based on wanting to be ACC Champions on gameday and the bastion of all things academic and exclusive every other day of the year. During O'Leary's tenure, UGA had a winning % of 0.645, during Gailey's: 0.810, during Johnson's: 0.716 and so far, during Collins: 0.879. Tech's winning percentages: O'Leary: 0.612, Gailey: 0.579, Johnson: 0.580 and so far, Collins: 0.290. When O'Leary left, we wanted someone to continue the winning he had been achieving and take us to the next level. Gailey kept us consistently winning and kept our bowl streak alive, but we were not satisfied because he enjoyed the number 7 more than the Bible. So, we fired him and hired Johnson to see if we could win more games, win some championships and go to meaningful bowl games. Johnson got us to the championships and the bowl games, but were were not happy because he was not as consistent as Gailey and ran an outdated offense and did not recruit well according to rankings. So, we hired Collins because he recruits well and would run a "normal" offense. So, we basically want a coach who 1) will recruit well despite any academic limitations/lack of easy classes/lack of degree choices/hire admissions standards for athletes vs. other schools; 2) will consistently win 7 or more games and go to a bowl every year; 3) win conference championships and be in relevant discussion for national recognition and 4) beat our instate rival every few years. Guess what? EVERY TEAM AND FAN BASE WANT THIS! We keep swinging for the fences and keep popping up.

Exactly. Our fanbase is so stupid it laughed at and mocked our team while they were winning games only to bring in their hand picked guy to win 3 games a year. Then they continue to dig in their heels against the previous offense that nearly went 5-6 against UGA, because they want to see if we can get to .500 with their boyfriend.
No one did that. You’re a moron for typing this.

Clemson had a historic run while Johnson was here. UGA had some really good runs too. Even duke had a run that would make Collins look like a genius. But i think the main complaint is people expected us to have better success against top10 teams and rivals.

Gailey beat 8 ranked teams in his tenure (2 of which were Top 10) and we fired him. Johnson beat 14 ranked teams during his tenure (5 of which were Top 10) and that did not meet expectations. So, we hire someone who has now beaten two total ranked teams. Right now, I would be happy beating any teams, rivals, ranked, unranked. I dont care.

Well, Duke was doing the same damn thing, if that makes you feel better.

And we were a lot closer to 1-10 against UGA than we were 5-6.

Yep. We were also close to winning another 3iar or 2/3 when Chan was here. In fact, we should have won 97, 98, 99, 00, 04, 05, 06, 08, 09

Those Teams had Historic Runs because CPJ never missed a Tee Time and surrendered HS Recruiting to anyone that wanted to come into GA to poach talent.

Hard fact, CPJ's poor Recruiting helped those Teams, Clemson went from an 8 win Program to 12 straight yrs of 10 wins and the 2nd half of those 12 yrs, Clemson avgd 12 wins and made the CFP 3 or 4 times, and GA Recruits helped a ton.

Not only do you cup Collins’ sac, but you also cup Chan’s sack.

Whatever that means.

FSU on head coach number 3 since Jimbo Fisher. Still losing.

Tennessee on head coach number 7 since Fulmer and still losing.

Florida on head coach number 5— finally winning again, but not championship caliber by their standards

Notre Dame went through 3 head coaches to find
Kelly

All those programs have waaayyy more $$$ than GT and are easier to win at than GT.

GT struck silver with Gailey who went to a bowl game every year and struck gold with Paul Johnson who won ACC and beat UGA 3 times.

Better be patient folks.

Sounds like we are a couple of coaches behind FSU and a half dozen behind UT by your metric. We need to get busy firing and hiring.

Have we really fallen so far with Collins that we are really in here missing Gailey? Wow. In the game thread, Bill Lewis was even mentioned in a somewhat positive tone. We ded if we don't fix this öööö STAT.

Their two best QB's came from our backyard
