Even CPJ isn't happy, wants to get bought out

First, this is just a rumor right...

However if it's not a rumor, not sure I understand how the buyouts work. Wouldn't GT just need to "release" him from his buyout so that he's free from the contract and not "buy him out"?

The contract has restrictions/penalties on either party breaking the contract. That means another school has to buy CPJ out and we have to buy CPJ out of the contract.

But if both parties agree, they can sign a new contract overriding the old contract. So if (hypothetically) CPJ wants to leave and Bobinski wants CPJ gone but can't afford the contract's buyout, they can negotiate some buyout in between.

Unless we were closing down the program in a few years, I can't imagine Roof would turn down a head coaching gig here. The guy made, at best, a lateral move to get the DC slot at his alma mater.

I think hiring the former Duke HC with the worst winning percentage in the history of their miserable program is equivalent to shutting the program down.

If Johnson doesn't want to be here, then it shouldn't take too much cash to part ways. I'd be surprised if that was any kind of hold up.

Screw Johnson! Tell him he is the coach so do your job,if you don't want to just quit!!öööö I wish he would.

Lord, I can already tell that even if this turns out to be 100% false (which a lot of signs are pointing too), that people are going to be using it against him for the rest of his tenure. I'm wondering if Feldman's source is a butthurt stingtalker.

dumb rumor and anyone who believes it is a dumbass who is probably falling for a mutt's prank

PJ haters believe what fits their agenda though.

I've thought like this for quite awhile but now I think...

We've been trying to run the complete opposite of what they run for 5 years now and where has it gotten us?

The players do not want to come play in PJ's system. We might not get quite the players or the depth that those schools can get, but if we ran an exciting system that showed correlation to the NFL, we could still get enough players to be successful with it.

Thisis because people refuse to distance overall success of the program with Johnson's offensive philosophy. To many in order for the offensive Philosophy to be good. GT must be winning games against the "big boys" with regularity. Not only is this something we've never done in our history, it is also rarely the offensive system that causes defeat.

While I agree that today's southern star athlete born and raised in the SEC hype machine doesn't want to play in this system, I don't think that they are the only players who exist and additionally think the SEC hype is dying down. I think we have several very good skill position players either on the way or on the team. I disagree that the system has held us back in terms of recruiting. I do think that it and Johnson are both better suited for a different kind of person than the typical high school athlete. They demand effort, integrity, sacrifice, self-motivation and strength of will, and a team first attitude. These traits are rare in today's generation of me me me.

Actually a mutt's prank would be saying that GT signed CPJ to a 5 year new deal, as they want him to stay as head coach being he has only beat them once the whole time he has been at Tech. Those mutt bastards.

I'm fairly certain a mutt made that picture and you can go öööö yourself with a large cactus for posting it.

Our program is going to hell this offseason.

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see Feldman spending much time digging up Georgia Tech coaching rumors with everything else going on in College Football this week. I believe he was contacted by someone from either the school or the coach that wanted this out there. Someone with a title or relationship that makes it credible.

Will Feldman end up taking by the rumor he put out there, hmm, hard to say at this point. Sure is exciting though and stirring the pot of butthurt through the GT fans at the moment!
