I am surprised Richt didn't drive his Ford truck down

I hear that they had one waiting for him at the airport. Here's a shot of it.

Richt issues a statement of denial:

Mark Richt on being mentioned as a candidate at Miami: "I don't think much of it really ... I'm sure they'll find a great coach."
Sounds like its close to a done deal.

My parents lived in Miami for a decade or so. Hated the place and finally moved back to Georgia. Miami is not an easy place to live. No way Richt leaves for Miami unless he feels his time at UGA is ending. Even then, you let UGA pull the trigger and take the buyout. 0% chance Richt goes to Da U.

We're your parents multi-multi millionaire celebrities?

Miami gets a lot easier when you can drop $4 million or so on the casa.

Maybe his parents are fair skinned and don't like Cubans, otherwise I don't know why you wouldn't like living in Miami, warm weather all year round, beautiful water and a great nightlife if you like that as well!

One of the reasons was that there is nothing more beautiful than a fall day in North Georgia. Mom and dad also had friends that left at about the same time. Their friends had a mountain cabin in Tennessee, beautiful place, when it came time to go back to Miami after one of the two week stays, his wife pretty much said "I am staying here. You can go back to Miami if you want, but I am staying here". They moved to the mountain cabin.

Folks are extremely rude down there, Yankee style. Postage sized lots. The water isn't as beautiful as you make it out to be. Also, with $4 million goes further in metro Atlanta.

Miami isn't all it is cracked up to be

I suppose except for those man made island things. They are kinda neat.

You are right. Your story is why everyone with money chooses to live in North Georgia over South Florida. :hsugh:
