Scrimmage reports

Thankful while we had him for sure. Hope we can get a little lightning going this year to match Mills' thunder
 
We'll miss his speed. I'm not sure why he didn't feel like he could still carve out a name for himself here, but we'll definitely miss him.

It may have been posted on here awhile back but I didn't see it and learned recently that his dad was a former JMU running back, 2013 JMU Hall-of-Famer, and all-time leading rusher.
 
I heard recently that CPJ's constant frustration with his poor blocking was what led to the transfer. Marcus wanted love for his running, CPJ wanted to see more consistent all around effort.
 
I liked Marshalls speed, but if Howard and Benson are as good as advertised, not many carries to be shared.

If you look deep at most of the WR, A-back and B-back transfers over the years, lack of skill/want to in the blocking department is at the root of many of them. If you can't/don't block in PJ's system, you will not play very much.

I remember Perkins starting out at Bback. I think it was his first spring game and PJ chewed him out big time (right in the middle of the field for everybody to see) for missing blocks in pass pro. But he stuck with it, found a home rushing and blocking at A-back.
 
Not many folks mention it but how the STs perform will be a MAJOR factor for us and especially the FGs kicker (2 games basically won by Butker last yr, that is 7-6 not 9-4 if he misses)
