Bound to happen... Miami plays F$U every year and VPI plays BC every year.
 
VPI is in a similar situation where UNC gets a bye before playing them (similar to Duke with us) and we have our byes before playing each other, essentially having two teams with extra prep time. If you consider FSU to start the season (shouldn't, but still) they have three conference opponents with extra time to prep, two in division.

Honestly if UVa is a struggle for us, then it doesn’t matter if we’re playing Middle Tennessee State, I mean Gardner Webb, I mean Georgia Southern. I mean...it doesn’t matter. I see the benefits for us playing a team who hired a coach specifically to stop the option (lololololol) before playing uga.
 
I need to know who each team that we play plays the week before they play us. Who has time to do the breakdown team by team? I must have this info. I want something concrete to bitch at the ACC about and I want it now!!

Miami is similar with Virginia getting a bye before playing and having same bye with BC before playing. So our two biggest contenders for the Coastal have similar setups (albeit quality of teams for Miami are slightly lower)
 
Guess playing...and winning against VT on Saturdays scared the ACC into scheduling this year on Thursday.

Ugly. With the new rule about bye scheduling in place to make it fair among league play, and the fact that we play an OOC opponent on rivalry week, it's fairly unlikely we'll ever get the bye before UGA. We shouldn't be putting that week in the league's hands anyways and should have a cupcake regardless. That's on us.
