Wish List

No kidding. I mean he only won one national championship there. If he only won one here, we'd fire his ass too.

Wait...
If you're serious, go look up the recruiting classes that led to his NC at LSU. That would NEVER happen here. And while you're at it, read about the cheating and immorality that he encouraged at Oklahoma State.

I want a coach who is a steady hand. A real CEO, who has been around the block and knows what good football fundamentals look like, who will hire coordinators and let them do what they do well but will keep the product on the field consistent. I want a guy who will find gems and develop them into NFL players, and who will never have a losing season.

I want Chan Gailey.

So you are holding being a good recruiter against him, if I read this correctly?
I get your point about the recruiting difficulties a GT coach has but that doesn't mean I want to hire a bad recruiter to make it worse.

And regarding 'immorality', we're hiring a football coach not a pastor.

I agree with everything you said except the last part.

Everybody is dirty, I don't know why people claim anything to do with college football is clean. The vast majority college football teams exploit young athletes with ideas of a NFL future which mostly does not pan out or a degree that most do not have the intelligence or education to obtain.

Steve Spurrier. History with GT, he'd die before we'd have to fire him (no buyout to pay), and he'd take shots at UGAg.

You mean the history about him hating us because we passed him over to hire Curry. Because of that, he ran the score up on us in 1987 when he was at Duke.

He followed Saban. LSU was recruiting elite players before he got there and are still doing it after he left. He's had Gailey-esque ineptitude when it comes to developing a QB, only he's had a revolving door of 4 and 5 star guys that can't do öööö.

If you're serious about Miles, I encourage you to read about what he did at OSU. I didn't even go to Georgia Tech, but I actually take some pride in supporting a team that doesn't openly cheat.

In all seriousness, when is CPJs contract up? Next year?
