Bowl Uniforms

I’m 70+ and love the different color combos. I’m tired of the boring white and gold after 60+ years of watching the team.

My only problem is my old wife will be cheering for the wrong team for 3 quarters.

But does your new wife know who to cheer for? :naughty:

I ain't bashing CPJ. I like the guy. I like his asshole nature. I liked running it down our opponents' throats when we could. I celebrate 2008, 2009, 2014, 2016 and the wins against FSU in 2015 and the win over USC. I'm trying to make him understand we're a bigger program than we have been for awhile and we need to set our goals higher than ever before. Lets be optimistic and energetic and not keep low expectations to protect us from disappointments anymore. We need to snap the öööö out of the loser mentality. We need to get out of pessimism and cynicism that we Tech fans are so good at.
CPJ ruined our ööööing uniforms

Wearing all blue. Why? I have never disliked white and gold as School colors. I never minded gold pants, white jerseys and gold helmets, never minded white pants, gold jerseys, white helmets, with the GT emblem on the helmet. Navy or black as trim for clarity is fine. But for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to wear blue pants and jerseys is just dumb.
Agree

CPJ ruined our ööööing uniforms
Dan Radakovich signed the contract with Russell that essentially made us their "uniform test lab." Too bad that isn't as cool as being Nike's test lab (even if basically their weird uniforms, under armors weird uniforms, and Russell's weird uniforms are all clownishly horrible, the only substantive difference being the logos)... Do you think that Paul Johnson a) gave a öööö about uniforms at all, and b) selected the designs we hated? That is what your post appears to suggest.

If Tech can screw up gold, they'll figure out a way to screw up blue too. Todd Stansbury's quest to find the right shade of gold is apparently a failure. Blue appears to be the new wave with the players. Remember the recent hype on the new Tech Gold, I fell for it.

The uniforms look great. Just maybe the blue with white numbers and a gold with blue numbers.

The blue is worn during bowl games to symbolize the pent up testosterone and sexual tension from not being able to tackle other young men in tight pants on the field of battle despite practicing for an entire month. It’s an homagé to the homoerotic nature of the GT student body, the game of football, and no-nut November. It’s very hip, refreshing, apt and in for 2018. I approve.

We haven’t tackled anyone in 10+ years. The tension must be unbearable.

You weren't the only one.

If the uniforms fire up the players and this helps them on the field, that's what matters to me.

It doesn't always work, but I'm hopeful.

Go Jackets!

You are a homage

We had a legacy before Paul Johnson.
No we didn't.

The man's biggest fame to claim is beating uga 3 times in 11 years and winning the orange bowl once and winning the ACC once
Winning an Orange Bowl is a big deal at Georgia Tech because we don't have a legacy. I'm frequently amazed at the lack of appreciation this fanbase has for what Paul Johnson accomplished here.

Give this man a chance and see where he can take us.

Gladly. Hoping CGC can develop a legacy and make Orange Bowl wins common-ish.
