Future Games at MBS

Once the first fire hits, people can't get out & die, & he gets sued out the wazzu, that 200MM yacht will be up for auction for a song. He may know business, but that place is a disaster waiting to happen.

He's incorporated. He will not be personally liable.

Now if you're talking about the yacht, then, that might be another story.

New level of bitchiness in here. Congrats guys, didn't think it could get anymore petty. GT makes a decision that makes more $ and increases exposure and y'all piss on it. Both of which gets the program to where we all want to go. Been reading for years how we don't sell out, attendance sucks, nobody shows up on time, parking sucks, tailgating sucks, etc., and now the argument against moving a game is BDS atmosphere is second to none. Well done. I've said it before, half this board would complain about winning a national title.
Dumb comment here

Then you were not around when the idiots Harrison & Dodd got us out of the sec. Definition of stupidest.
I'm changing my mind and agreeing with you. In my outrage over this abandonment of BDS@HGF in favor of the ALL RED off campus stadium down the street, I did forget the very worst decision ever made by Tech, which was leaving the SEC. Thank you for correcting me.

There's a reason the factories love these neutral site games in Atlanta. We already play in Atlanta. We don't need games at MBS to play up that brand. Undoubtedly we are going to spin it that way but this is about revenue, period. These games always have huge upside for Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson etc.

Regardless of the advantages for Tech, Clemson was just given a huge gift that they didn't have to do anything for.
Yep sadly

He probably doesn't personally own the yacht directly either, for liability reasons

I hope GT uses the outdoor space at MBS to make a tailgate event for interested ST holders. Don't know if the Gulch will still even be around for the games.

Either that or just open the gates to MBS earlier than we normally open them at BDS and let folks go in, eat, grab drinks, and either explore around or have a seat.

Home depot backyard is nice. We'll hold the stingtalk tailgate there.

Will we still be able to use the backdrop with the BMW logo at the press conferences?

A few things to keep in mind in your outrage. We play Clemson on Labor Day, a Monday, in 2022. This will limit the number of Clemson fans as it did Tennessee fans. Secondly, this will be our first game after winning the 2021 NC. Because of this, we could probably fill the Rose Bowl with all of the excitement around the program. Lastly, by 2024, we will have 45,000 season ticket holders and people will be griping about the increased ticket prices so having a game at a stadium with 16,000 more seats will at least let supply meet demand once a season.

Let it be so

I'm not thrilled about the idea of playing some of our biggest home games at MBS, instead of BDS, but the list of positives really outweigh the negatives. The weather on Labor Day weekend is pretty miserable in Atlanta, and late November can be bad, too. We will have guaranteed comfortable conditions for these games, lots of publicity and money from it, and a huge recruiting feature. The ND games aren't counted for conference record, so giving up a home field advantage for them doesn't risk as much. If we get seats comparable to what we have for season tickets at BDS, I will be looking forward to these games.

We throw it behind the WaHo dumpster to keep your mom occupied and away from the tailgate.

Waho by the Benz is right across from that giant ferris wheel. Everybody and their moms could see us keeping his mom occupied by the dumpster.
