Great insight

That simply means it was the HC's fault for not recruiting more Dwyer's & Bebe's

If you know your system is better with Dwyer & D Thomas' then it is imperative that you recruit more when they leave
That was my point. Death marches are great and all, but sometimes long drives will result in costly turnovers or penalties. I'll take better athletes with breakaway speed every time.

I looked at Clem's son's scores from last year, and we were only 1 of 4 teams to score over 20 points against them. ND and Bama couldn't do it in the playoffs. Texas A&M and Syracuse look to be the only teams that didn't get the "garbage time" experience. I think we can pat ourselves on the back a little.
I watched that game......definitely NOT a back-patting worthy effort

How did you feel about the Georgia game? They were exactly the same.

Disgusted. I ate what I thought was a cheese stick, but it was actually a cheese flavored fish cake stick. So I went back to bed at half time because I was on vacation in Kyoto, Japan.

So I'm not watching or anything, but the game tracker looks a whole lot of Oliver runs.

Yep. First half offense was a flashback to last year. QB keepers, just out of more formations.

Defense was much improved but not enough to stop them when you give up red zone fumbles..,

TO and LJ offensive packages look like shotgun double options. Pretty much no passing. Routes were not good.

TO had a ton of trick plays. None worked. Wasted practice time.

JG offensive package had some rpo and more vertical routes. A few drag routes, but not many. Receivers trying not to jam up running lanes in the middle of the field.

JG probably the real qb. TO looks like Clemson specific QB.

All QB overthrowing and high school technique. They should improve when not faced with Clemson caliber D.

Wait until game 4 to make judgement on O. D looks vastly improved over last year. ST still looks bad. We need a kicker.

so at least we'll have one team to draft our players? and probably just that one team?
I get that you're a CPJ guy, but you don't seriously think the plan is to recruit more QBs like Tobias Oliver, do you? We have a pro-style QB in Gleason coming in next year. I don't think the staff wanted to ask these kids to do things they knew they couldn't do, especially in a season opener against the #1 team.
