Word on the street in Dalton is Gibbs is thinking about decommitting
On my street in Loganville, I'm hearing the same. Most recruits are always "thinking" about decommitting.

In his case, I can't blame him: he is having a great year (should give the GT staff credit for seeing his potential) and a lot of big programs are now throwing him some love so he has to be "thinking" about his situation. Good for him.

BUT honestly, I'm not worried about RB. QB, OL, DL, LB are my concerns.

He is the only RB commit right now
And we have no DT commits, correct?

I think GT will go 1-11 and that will cause the 2020 GT recruiting to pretty much vanish into thin air

I can promise you, recruits don’t pay much attention to what your record is.
Did it effect our recruiting when we won the orange bowl or the next season when we won 3 games?
Nope.
Recruiting is about relationships, playing time and location and comfort.
Not much emphasis on wins and losses and sadly academics in most cases.

You know what really helps recruiting? A rabid fan base that supports the program financially and by putting asses in the seats. And that is where we fail. We have a bunch of alums that are rich as hell who do not give to athletics. And that is disappointing. We need a T. Boone Pickens to stand up and contribute.

And the major boosters we do have withheld their donations for CPJ's entire tenure. The funding has returned (see 2019 TECH fund) but it'll take a little time to have impact.

I don’t know the full reason for that, but it shouldn’t happen.

I did get a lot of the low down on Richt leaving uga and it had to do with the money people (specifically one of them) using the threat of not giving to get Richt out.

I promise that if I somehow get mega rich (be it lottery or work), Tech athletics will be a huge beneficiary. Academics already gets enough support. I’ll only put revocation terms on my endowment to protect Tech traditions (stuff like no bending to SJW stuff and changing words to fight songs to make them gender inclusive).
