Can't trust anything Collins says

I’m not disagreeing with anything here but please STFU with the politics on this board, most of us want nothing to do with it in the FB threads
Where does a post about CGC's embrace of BLM go? When the football coach and team turn political, it is hard to keep politics out of football threads, discussion and analysis. The reality is that America is now so divided that politics has forced itself into sports. If you don't believe me, just turn on ESPN. (On second thought, don't do that.)

GT football is comprised of soft people who act tough. I saw more toughness and players being held accountable on Friday night at a private school 1A game than I’ve ever seen from GT under Collins. When Gibbs didn’t step out of bounds he should have had at least 10 other players jumping his behind! I bet he would have at Dalton. Where was accountability when our DB’s continue in year 3 to take horrible angles on RB’s? Does anyone actually address it? The players need to hold each other accountable but they don’t. I’d love to hear that Ace Ealey is suspended for a game because he beat a couple of arses during practice. I can promise you that McGowan is just laughing at himself right now for coming here. To go from an actually well coached tough football team and coach in Fitzgerald to this fake tough team has to have him laughing at himself.

With all due respect, leaving a full cupboard for the next guy is anything but worthless. Let's hope he can continue to reel in the big name recruits.

The Citadel game confirmed that Collins has no business as a head coach and I have not seen anything since that has led me to reconsider. I love Collin's love for GT and I love his enthusiasm for our program and our
guys but he's little more than Derrick Moore.

Dont disrespect DMo like this

I’ll continue to support him while he brings in the best recruiting classes ever in our history.. if that aspect ever begins to suffer, god help us

wait, are you suggesting that it can get worse than this? Well, I guess a loss on Saturday would be worse.

yeah, the week he got hired i set up a twitter account just to follow him and all the assistant coaches. closed that account summer 2020. almost every post on my stream was BLM.

May have found my shirt for the next game.

I felt worse after The Citadel, if I'm being honest

I can't recall how I felt after The Citadel, although I think that was clearly a worse loss than NIU. NIU has a pretty high emotional impact for me because of the number and nature of our hype materials, especially in the days and hours leading up to kickoff. I mean, we had a white out and everything. Makes me feel like I fell for one of those 419 scams. I think I might actually feel more upset about NIU than the other one.

I'm a little worried about the mental state of this board come 330 this Saturday though. We could cross the streams there.

If we're going by feelings, there have been many many worse than NIU. The 2009 UGA game remains a giant gut punch. Unfortunately, my interest in GT football is waning, and so the losses don't mean as much anymore.
Same here. I was flipping back and forth between GT and the Ugag nd Clemson game. Didn’t see much of the 2nd half of GT.

Y’all acting like this was the worst loss in program history.

Oh wait…that’s because it actually was the worst loss in program history.
I know you're not a new fan just based on your post count, but I can think of a minimum 5 games worse than this: of course the Citadel, Furman back in the day, Kansas St debacle, MTSU boat race, Fresno St Bowl game, the Temple game last year, LSU Peach Bowl, the Samford battle. I could probably keep going...

The NIU loss didn't feel as bad because it didn't feel as shocking. Unfortunately, losing to Kennesaw would not shock me either. NIU was more aggravating because I realize that this program isn't turning around in year 3 like I was optimistically hoping.

MTSU also comes to mind. There wasn't enough liquor at Cypress Street to stop me after that one.

For me MTSU was the worst because I was in Nashville attending a wedding with a bunch of MTSU grads.
