We were picked to win <3 games in 2008 because we couldn’t possibly teach our linemen to block in the option properly. We had TE’s at Tackle. We won more than 3 games.

it does not take this long if you are an effective communicator and teacher. These kids are re-learning what they already knew in high school and before. They came here and had to be TAUGHT option blocking. The concepts we are installing aren’t new to them. There is no excuse for their horrific performance.
 
He's had three years, but not to just to "develop at least a halfway competitive LOS."

1. He had one month to recruit his first class of linemen.

2. He had one Spring to develop what he already had + what he'd managed to sign in #1.

3. He then got his first real recruiting class.

4. He's in year 3 of this effort with - at best - a bunch of Sophomores that learned to play OL via Zoom last year.

5. He deserves 5 years.

You guys say Collins is a clown and a hype man, BUT EVERYONE BOUGHT INTO THE HYPE and now you are upset?!? Who told you our Oline was going to be good?Collins maybe?
We have a few TO leftover guys, transfer from Vandy (have you seen that program lately), transfer from Tenn (our best linemen), and a bunch of underclassmen. Our line isn't good and I never thought it would be until these Freshmen get 2+ year under belt.

Key's 2nd and 3rd OL classes will have had either 2 or 3 years in the program for the 2022 season. That's a lot of body maturation, strength training, and practice reps. So, what are reasonable expectations after 3 seasons, 4 Spring camps, and 4 Fall camps for this OL staff ?
