All I'm seeing from the words of both the fans and the players/family in question is a lack of empathy and perspective. If you're a fan and you're talking öööö about a player who gave his all for the team and is now upset because an important coach and apparent father figure in his life has been terminated - wrongfully, in his opinion - then you're behaving like a douchebag. This is the most critical stage of these players lives and it is when they will determine their future, and in many ways is the culmination of a lifetime of hard work and commitment. Of course they have strong feelings on the people involved in it and they have the right to express that.

Meanwhile Juanyeh and his mother are chastising the fan base which supports the program financially and with years of personal and emotional investment, in many or most cases unconditionally throughout decades of highs and increasingly common lows. A fan base which only really has one or two legitimate means of making their voice heard to the powers that be. There are very few schools or fan bases of any kind in this country which pack the house regardless of the team's record or quality of play, and those very few earned that with long eras of excellence and success. No such school exists in the state of Georgia, regardless of whatever the morons on CBS and the SEC Network might tell you. Fans do not just show up and spend their money and scream themselves raw because you personally are doing your best, the picture is bigger than you and the football program has failed them, not the other way around.

I'll be glad when this whole nightmare is over, but at this rate the circus tent seems to have sunk its poles deep enough to run for at least another year.
Why does everyone blindly assume every player “gives his all” and “blood sweat and tears” and all that?

All conference safties grow on trees at GT, apparently.

Idiots.
All we are asking for is guys that play with discipline in their 4th yr in the Program, guys that take good angles on ballcarriers in their 4th year in the Program, guys that read the correct Keys and play with "eye discipline" in their 4th yr in the Program.

At 6-3 with the Speed that he showed on KRs and the speed he showed on the Pick-2 pointer, he should have been a dominant Safety, especially in the ACC.

Just the basics from him, not All Conference, just sound, disciplined, fundamental , play at Safety.

Why do guys like you argue stuff that's so obvious?

Do you just like to take an opposing position, just to argue minutae?

FEI Defense

Roof
13 - 62
14 - 58
15 - 48
16 - 66
17 - 47

Woody
18 - 102 (juanyeh's FR year)

C******
19 - 93
20 - 88
21 - 111

We're twice as bad as the leaky Roof defense. Juanyeh has been pretty good, but ultimately our defense has collapsed.

There's no Stat Line for giving your all, CFB keeps track of many Stats mainly Ws & Ls.

Even after he gave his all, his "all" led to bad angles on Tackles, bad eyes reading the wrong Keys, and constantly getting beat deep.
He played for us for 4 years, with highs and lows. I’m sure he did his best, didn’t get in any trouble, and now he’s gone. What’s the point in ööööting on him now?

He had an INT to seal the win over either Duke or UNC, I forget. It's CBs who had no INTs.

Juanyeh is a good player who our coaches squandered
Juanyeh was so much better in 2018 with Nate Woody than he ever was with Collins or Thacker. It’s amazing that the dude claiming rebuild is going to create an even bigger one than he took over.

Couldn’t agree more. In the world of the transfer portal players will continue to take advantage of it for one reason or another -head coach fired, coach who recruited me fired, I’m not playing enough, the team sucks, the fans are mean -whatever. This will become par for the course in the coming years.

That being said, for the players who are choosing to leave via the portal, good luck. While coaching is a big issue right now, I personally think some of these players need to take some responsibility for their performances as well. It’s easier I suppose to just walk away and try somewhere else.

In turn Collins needs to take advantage of the portal from Tech’s perspective and bring in players who, for whatever reason, have chosen to leave their school where they originally signed a LOI. I mentioned in another thread that the portal is going to turn college football into MLB during the trade deadline. Players will be coming and going more and more.
Players need to be realistic when entering the portal. It seems that a lot of players enter the portal and fail to find a landing spot.

Correcting these issues is literally the coaches’ job.

Of course we all would have loved for him to have played better, but you’ve called him lazy multiple times on this board, including only a few minutes before he ran the 2 pt conversion attempt back 100 yds and looked like he was going to die from exhaustion on the field.

What’s the point in ööööting on this kid now, for deciding to transfer? What the öööö does he owe us now, anyway?

I can sorta understand not knowing he got votes, but seriously dude?
Do you think he played All-ACC caliber FB?

Do you think he compares to All-ACC guys in the past like Morgan Burnett, James Butler etc.

I judged him based on what I saw in Games.

Please share with us what you saw in Games.
