How would you know? You're a Tech fan too damn cheap to get Bally Sports.
Getting Bally Sports is not a matter of being or not being cheap. It is (or is not) included in cable packages. Fortunately for me, it is in mine, but it wasn't something I asked for (hell, I had never even heard of it before); it is included, along with ACCN, and the various ESPN and Fox packages.

I cut the cord because Comcast didn't have the ACC Network. The ACC signed a deal where some games would be on the ACC Network and some games would be on Bally Sports. At the time, no carrier had both. Stupid decision.
Actually, at the time I assume you did that, WOW (which of course, may not be available to you) had both.

Is being on Bally Sports Network a "televised game"? It's more like a streaming network that most people don't even have.

Do you realize that bringing in Monken doesn't mean you run the Triple Option?
Bally is the continuation of Fox Sports Southwest, which I remember showing Tech and other games before.

When Disney/ESPN acquired 21 century Fox, the government blocked the TV part, and made ESPN sell Fox Sports. The new owners renamed it to Bally in some kind of deal.

When I had WOW in 2020 I had to get HULU+ Live TV to watch the ACC Network. :dunno: I was basically paying for TV twice to watch GT games. It was a major reason I dropped WOW.

Totally understand, but without any advance notice at all, they added it to their package back in August.....long before Comcast did. WOW has now replaced DVR's with TV+ boxes, which are more-or-less streaming devices, and the number of channels went up considerably, with, unbelievably, a price drop. There are still a LOT of glitches in the new service, but overall, I really like it.

So you think CGC would have beat Mizzou last night?

Did you think we can beat UNC?

Play the game on the field and find out.

What i am certain on is Monken and the perception that is attach to him.

And if CGC doesn’t work out and Chadwell is the guy i pray for his sake that he isnt labeled an option guy bc he will be damaged before set foot on campus

Does anyone here think CGC could beat a 6 win Mizzou in a bowl game? His best team ever got beat by Duke 56-27 in the Independence Bowl.
Saying a coach (like Monken) would do better at GT than Collins is a pretty low bar. Doing better than Collins also doesn't mean being amazing, it only means not being absolute öööö. Also saying you don't want Monken isn't saying Collins is better or we need to keep him.

Ok, I ööööed the SEC and I'm back now. Her breath was kind of stankin', but you don't not drive a Cadillac just because it has a ding in it.

That part is the key. The main issue with Monken at Tech wouldn't have anything to do with the facts of it, what system he'll actually run or how good a coach he actually is or is not. The issue would entirely be with the perception of him. If we hire Monken after going through a coach specifically to get away from that offense, we could even retain Chip Long as OC with his offense and it wouldn't matter, no one outside our bubble would believe we aren't running Paul Johnson's triple option and it would take years to convince recruits and press otherwise (assuming we ever do).

A guy labeled as some sort of "option" could maybe be ok depending on circumstances as long as they aren't from the Johnson coaching tree.

Never missed a televised game on DirecTV. If you want live sports, you have to pay for it.

Bruh just answer the question asked, its a simple yes or no. Trying to sidestep it by saying do we think we CAN beat UNC, well obviously we CAN beat anybody, but if we were to play UNC again right now WOULD we beat them? Not likely. Just like we likely WOULD not beat Mizzou.

No it isn't, Kansas is a FBS team at least. It is more like losing the Citadel or somebody.

If that makes you sleep better at night.

I’m happy Monken provided the told you so moment you guys needed last night

Looking back, I think we should have hired Monken; but going forward I agree. Monken would be an improvement even with what ibb is saying; but if we want back in the top 20 on a regular basis he probably isn't the right guy. I hope we can find some up and coming guy in his mid-thirties who wants to build a legacy, or Collins gets the program on track.

Well it’s a stupid question with no definitive answer

How can you answer a hypothetical question?
