Our AD

Is a complete failure, his votes of confidence for CGC and CJP shows we need to find an AD who cares about winning
I completely agree with Collins. However; while Johnson had his issues, he did beat UGA and did get us to bowls. Collins has done neither and probably will continue to do neither. I don't think our AD is very sports smart. Hell, offering an untested head coach a huge, multi-year deal, shows bad business sense as well. I think the AD's fate is tied to how well Collins does, this year. Which means both will probably be fired at the end of next season. At least that is my guess.

Are you dislexyc

Jeff Monken was also on Georgia Tech Staff in 2008-2009. He then went on to be the Head Coach at Georgia Southern and kicked the öööö out of Florida in the swamp during the 2013 season before being named Army HC. He has turned the Army program around from dumpster fire to respectable.

I am shocked when so called "college football fans" have no clue about decent coaches in the CFB landscape & Yes he is on the record as not running the TO at a P5 school!

How good has Monken been at Army? They have only made 10 Bowl games in their history that dates back to 1890. Five of those have come under Jeff Monken as HC! We can talk about Army kicking the öööö out of Mizzou last year in another post. (That is right Jeff Monken has beaten SEC teams at Ga Southern & Army) God I wish Geoff Collins could have just put points on the board against ND & Georgia last year instead of losing 100-0.

One thing we can all agree on, is that Jeff Monken is a Superior Head Coach to GEOFF COLLINS! The fact that the AD hired Coach Collins shows (and did not interview a CPJ disciple) that the AI 2020 fundraiser was the driving force behind the Geoff Collins hire. It really highlights how many people do not know what it takes to put a winning product on the field at Bobby Dodd. It does show that we will be able to lose in style!

Always thought that CJM was the Coach behind CPJ that contributed the most the overall success of the early years of CPJ. This in no way, is meant to demean CPJ or imply that that CPJ was not a good coach. Sometimes the synergy of a couple makes something more than two.

I am not sure Monken would have been a failure, we would have competed in the ACC and maybe an ACC Championship with Tobias Oliver as our QB.
I am also not so sure Ken Whisenhunt would have been this bad. I mean Coach Collins has done a worse job then Bill Lewis up to this point.

Y’all need to stop this foolishness. With what OL was Monken going to make this team competitive? USF & VT really convinced some that we would’ve been able to run QB sweep 40x/gm to a ACC title

With what OL is Geoff Collins going to make this team competitive?

With any cast of transfers, walkons, and existing players that wanted to stick it out, Monken would field a more efficient offense than we’ve seen here in the CGC era.

What P5 OL would transfer here and have you witnessed what walk- ons have provided us the last 3 seasons?

This is delusional talk

The same types of kids we had for a decade that performed well on offense.

Yes I have witnessed the last three years of walk-ons, transfers, scholarship players, holdovers from the last regime, and players from the new regime all performing very poorly. That’s pretty much my point. A coach like Monken could take a band of misfits and build a better offense that what our current clown coach is putting on the field.

If walk-ons are playing (and William Lay is the only one I can think of that did), what does that say about all the players CGC and CBK recruited?

Injury proned Kenny Cooper was forced on them by ADTS stupid schollie promise
2 OL in May & Smith that couldn’t CPJ travel squad

As for CGC recruits, you mean the recruits that are finally upperclassmen? Show me where the 5* OL are playing immediately at? CGC OL has dealt with 2 Medicals & multiple other injuries.

Every coach deals with medicals/injuries, that's not an excuse and CGC should know that and have planned better, perhaps by signing some linemen in 2019. The fact that he only just now has any upperclassmen linemen he recruited is his own fault.

Pretty sure we had 3 seniors on the OL last year they recruited.
