Last play of the game

Meh. Let’s not get on our high horse too much. We literally had a player ejected for spitting.

Seriously WTF, Lockett?
That might have been the turning point in the game. I'm guessing one of those Yanks said something a bit unwelcome and he got his response.

The spitting was weird, second one of those I have seen in 2 weeks, can't remember that before. Coach will handle it.

True, but we don’t know what was said or done to him to cause this action. If it was verbal it probably rated right up there with the worst of Sting Talk.

There was some hot mic on Key after his post-game press conference about the spitting

These guys are now equal to UM Thugs, meet the new members of the ACC, Syracuse Punks. Damn Key they rubbed it in our face most of the night., The players and fans deserved a last TD after the cheap shots, bad calls and that Punk at the last few plays.
Punks is weak. They’re ööööing mooks

But what if the spitting was foreplay? Kidding, obviously, using fists is better for that too.
Dirty play in a scrum is only dirty if the refs see/call it. The spitting sucked, but we just might have turned a corner here. What led up to the incident?

I watched the Syracuse post game show. They think we played dirty. We got a penalty for spitting on them and another one for knocking them through the bench area. I think it was just a chippy game that both teams wanted to win. What their player did on the last play was bad, but the officials should have kicked him out of the game, so we wouldn't have had to decide whether to retaliate. I think Key made the right decision to let the game end with no more risk of escalation. The thing that makes me mad is the so called "ACC Command Center" that missed the blatant targeting call. That could have cost us our QB for the rest of the year. In a world of incompetent officiating, the ACC stands out as the very worst.

The hit on King would be a perfect slide for a presentation on “What Qualifies As Targeting?” Blatant incompetence by refereeing crew for not calling a personal foul for late hit, in addition to targeting.

So what happens with that, now? The hey missed it during the game, it didn’t change the outcome, that’s fine. But the ACC should either have to explain it or determine after the fact it was targeting and make the player ineligible for the next game

Worst of Stingtalk? I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ll ask your mom and see if she knows. When she’s done.

Regardless of what they do, I think it's fair to say at the very least they owe an explanation of why it wasn't targeting or an admission they F'd it up. From my seat, they clearly F'd it up.
