FOOTBALL AVG. CROWD SIZE: 2023 Season

This is like chicken and egg arguments.
How come nobody ever has chicken and salad arguments. Was chicken added to salad or was salad added to chicken? "Chicken salad" doesn't really taste like plain salad or regular chicken.

Let's brain storm:
1) Create an easy to get to list of parking available for football games. List should have number of total spots available and the cost for each game. Distance to walk to BDS@HF. If the list was updated in real time so you can see available spots on the way down, even better.

2) Create a tailgate finding system to help individuals and groups create tailgates. Have people enter demographic info (interests, etc) and suggest connections. Promote tailgating by having staff roam pregame and stop at tailgates to give away free Tech gear.

3) Target sports fans:
a) Partner with the Braves, Falcons, and Hawks to put a flyer in the hands of all their season tickets holders with info about the upcoming season including ticket availability and costs, parking availability and costs, and pre game activities.
b) Leverage data mining to find recent transplants to Atlanta who were into college sports where they moved from (alumni of big10/12 for example).

4) In game free seat upgrades. Target the new single ticket buyers to upgrade. Bought the nose bleeds in the upper north and have never bought tickets before? Go find them before the start of the game and move them to better seats for free. Give them a free hotdog and a Coke on the way.

Your #1 item is parking? I’ll bet our parking situation is better than at the stadiums that draw 80k plus every week.

It looks to me that SEC has higher total attendance than B1G, right?

Yes, I suspect it is (I'm also including traffic under parking). Note, this list is geared toward new fans who have never attended a game, not getting existing fans back. If parking is not the number one issue, it's crime.

Yea. Parking for GT football is easier than any major sporting event I’ve ever been to.

Get rid of Peter's parking and make Peter's park for pregame festivities.

Really bad idea.
This is where our big $$ donors / suite / Wardlaw peeps park.

To fill up the stadium......Just Win Baybee.

Is crime an issue on gameday? I've never encountered any. :dunno:

There's a not insignificant portion of our fanbase that is afraid to venture inside the perimeter.
So they should have loved the noon games right?

We really need to work hard to promote to youth and young families. Now that the product isn't miserable it may actually work.

You know what they say in Murray County? Tough öööö.

If the current participation of our students is any indicator, we should have growth in fanbase. Our student section in the north was full almost every game and was over capacity for UGAg

The big city ain't for everyone, I guess. I've just personally never experienced (or even seen) crime on a gameday. You go to even more games than I do, have you ever seen any?

(Just trying to get some anecdotal evidence out there for anyone reading who may have this particular concern.)

I've never experienced any and I have been attending GT games since the 1970's.

That's what I figured.

I'm not even being a pollyanna about crime in the city. I've experienced crime in midtown, even on campus. (I got my window smashed in while parked on west campus when I was a student.) But gameday, the area is crawling with police and fans in general. It's just an incredibly safe environment during that time, seems to me.

I have even attempted to look sexually vulnerable as I pass sororities
