#10 is a Running Back - Marcus Allen

All I was wondering is if some other highly touted academic schools other than Vandy have offered or showed interest. .
To answer your question....Vandy, Boston College, Duke, Rice, Purdue, and Georgia Tech were the big academic school offers.
The factories were FSU, Tennessee, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Kentucky.

^^^I'm sick of the worry-warts when it comes to recruiting^^^

OTOH, does anyone know what level of commpetition he's going against in these vids?

Looks like a good overall kid who can play many positions. I have to believe this kid is headed to BB, but a 6'2 AB would be nice to throw too instead of the midgets we have there now.

One of our midgets got 9.7 YPC in the worst GT season in nearly the last decade.

He was talking about passing the ball, and I don't think anyone considers Orwin a midget. Double fail.

It's because he used "too" instead of "to". I read "It'd be nice to have a 6'2 AB to throw as well". Easy mistake to make, considering in the vernacular the sentence makes sense as it is. Also, if you think my referencing of Orwin as a midget wasn't sarcasm, you missed the point.

And to conclude, yes, it absolutely would be nice to have a 6'2 AB as a receiving target.

...and with another midget providing the wide open space to run straight through with some fierce midget blocks. If you go back and look at the film of the long runs...any of our AB's could have made those. That is the one thing about this offense...if people do their jobs everyone can have big days.

I wasn't trying to exalt one midget in particular, just trying to suggest that our current midget configuration is sufficient.

I misread the post that triggered it anyway.

If he plays BBack, we have Preston as the White Bull, and Marcus can be the White Bronco .... wait for it ...

Anyway, here's his Junior Highlights (1st year playing football), RB highlights start at about 2min, seems to be a lot of wildcat.

Great instinct and likes to attack downhill. Also, good pursuit angles. Great looking LB.

What if you make an intelligent response to my first question and we can forget about this pissing contest?

This kid is smart and academically inclined or he never would have picked GT. We've had other kids swayed away by other academically minded universities or have you forgotten about Mr. Tuitt?

My question makes a lot of sense yet you decided to mock it like the douche you are.

Sorry Cheese, but I didn't think your question made a lot of sense. You can ask that question about anyone that commits to GT just about, or anyone that commits to any school. May not be a Stanford, but there is always someone else.

We all understand your question. It's several places. Why he decided to make his commit is in several places too. He and his family sure sound on board 100%. Any number of things can happen in recruiting. We all know that.

I'm not paranoid over Stanford, ND, or whoever. Not saying you are, but hear what sounds to be concerns. This young man and his family's decision doesn't seem to have the same "feel" as maybe a Tuitt to me.

Do I think we'll have to keep on recruiting Allen? Heck yeah! Do all of them anymore. Just like Vad last year and that entire class. Remember talking to Snoddy and his family signing day. Recruiting is a tough business with some very good salesman in it.
