Please Not Whisenhunt

NFL guys think they can win in college with complex schemes instead of great recruiting. They are mistaken time and time again.
Mike Sherman at Texas A&M and Charlie Weiss come to mind.

These Coaches typically go from thinking there is a learning curve to we are not executing to we are confused we better simplify.

Please no NFL guy

Possible. A head coaching interview could get Whisenhunt a raise.
He said interview;not hire. No harm in interviewing a friend to get him more money from his current job.

Hope you’re right!!

And maybe Whisenhunt is doing his friend a favor and making everyone think we are negotiating with him while we quietly work out a deal with our real coach.

And maybe they are actually talking about Whisenhunt getting the job. :dunno:

The only NFL guys that I can think of that actually had success when they came down to the college level were Pete Carroll, Bill O'Brian, Jim Harbaugh, and Nick Saban. I'm probably missing some though.

Dan Wanstadt (or something like that)

If you changed all the ‘your mom’ jokes on Stingtalk to ‘your dad’ jokes, it would still be kind of funny but icky. That is how I feel about an NFL coach.

The only reason I’ve warmed up to Whisenhunt is Georgia Tech would get Giff Smith back.

Had Paul Johnson kept Giff on as Recruiting and Defensive Coordinator, he may well have won it all.

F-ing Wommack...smh

öööö off. It wasn't Reggie that lost those games. It was Gailey / Nix

And the UGAg 51-7 was Suggs/Bilbo

Now öööö off you miserable asshole
Bro, I was ragging on Gailey coached teams. You try too hard to be angry.

Art Briles is currently a professional football coach.

But really, no Whisenhunt. Gailey 2.0

This is a joke right? Saban is not a NFL coach... he was an established college coach that dabbled briefly and failed in the NFL. Carroll spent a significant number of years in the college ranks before going to NFL. Whisenhunt has almost ZERO time in the college ranks... a two year stint as a Vanderbilt assistant in the mid 90s.

Give me a break.
