We turned it over on downs twice, punted, and had a special teams score. It wasn't as bad as it has been, but it isn't clicking.

Yep. They got beat by a link. Miles came in too high. That's football.

The O scored on a majority of the drives. That isn't shitting the bed. We had something like 3 drives in the first half. The D ööööed this game.

It would be interesting to compare UNC's drives against Pitt versus our drives. UNC plays hyper-fast and probably didn't have an ST touchdown giving the ball back right away.

And the people saying beating UNC is an unimaginable feat didn't see how insane UNC's comeback was against Pitt. You step back and we both played Pitt very close and UNC should have lost. How the hell is beating UNC so unimaginable?
 
So, it's obvious that CPJ isn't getting it done. The issue comes down to what are we going to do about it. Do we fire him next year and endure 3+ years of struggling moving to a totally new system? That new system isn't even garunteed to get us anywhere either.

Or do we listen to CPJ's cry for help that he made last week and find a way to get Tech better players and more money for better assistants? Which, might not make a difference anyway.
 
I am at the UTC / Mercer game. Already 31-3 UTC in the second quarter, 4 Minutes to go. We scored 35 in 4 quarters. We suck.

I guess the question becomes what do we want as fans. Obviously none of us like going 3-9 and following it up the next year with a 3-game losing streak after the early weak stretch. What is a reasonable expectation for our coach? If it's to never have a losing season, Gailey may be available this winter. If it's to have some bad and some okay years, with the occasional chance at a 10+ win season, we should keep Johnson. If it's to be a regularly top 20 team, we need to make the systemic moves necessary to attract the type of coach who will get us to that point and won't simply see us a stepping stone to greener pastures.

Problem is CPJ can not attract better players no mater what they do to help him if he continues to run the 3O. Kids just do not want to play in that system.

I think that's Bullshit. We have talent at RB, have the best recruiting class coming in over the past 8 years, and have both swilling twins. Our problems aren't all recruiting.
