Suggs wasn't a top 100 national recruit.

Most people are leaving Trad Beatty off of these an lists. Isn’t he still on the team?

And yet a former QB that is his HC (Heupel) has chosen Hendon Hooker (sp?) and Joe Milton (sp?) from Michigan as QB options in lieu of him.

I saw Hooker at VaTech and if Bailey can't beat him out, not sure he can beat out Sims.

Unless we know for sure he's the real deal, go get a great HS QB, like OU had a 5* waiting in the wings for Rattler to go haywire trying to emulate Mahomes, our first move has to be get the best HS QB we can find and then go from there.

I read on another site that Bailey threw to 3 P5 WRs & TEs in HS , all of them 4* or better, maybe that is the reason he was so highly regarded out of HS.

The guys that beat him out and put him at 3rd on the Depth Chart are a red flag IMO.

Not sure he will be an active member of the team next year. Remember he had decided to quit football prior to coming here. Seems like the staff kinda did him a solid bringing him in but I don't think they planned on him playing.

I don't know the offense Tennessee runs but it's not like Heupel recruited him. He was already on the roster and there was a coaching change. Maybe it just wasn't a fit :dunno:

or maybe this kid was a freshman and the other 2 had some more experience and since he wasn't ready they decided to redshirt him

I don't see any reason to badmouth him.

You seem to be sold on Jeff Sims. I am not. I hope he does well but he seems to be prone to turnovers and injuries.

Those injuries and TOs are greatly impacted by crap OLine play.

Once we again we have the weirdest fanbase around, everything is the fault of the QB and the OC, the other 20 positions get ignored and the other 9 on field coaches get criticized a lot less than the OC.

There were folks around here calling Gibbs overrated after he had a game with 10 carries for 10 yards, with hardly any mention of the OLine not opening holes.

Do better.

Not badmouthing him, he has a college Track record, that includes getting beat out by Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton that were very pedestrian at their first Colleges, VaTech and Michigan.

I'm not a Fan of "Backup QB Savior Complex", a syndrome where whoever the other Guy is gets accolades like, " as soon as Bailey steps on campus he's the best passer in the Program"

Bailey wasn't 2nd String, he was 3rd String at Tennessee, I judge him based in his resume and not some fantasized version of what hasn't happened at Tennessee.

The amazing thing is that I never read posts that say, "we'll be so much better with the 3rd String LT from Tennessee, can't wait til he enrolls.

Are you asking why CTC recruiting someone for his position group to Tech implies that he isn't going anywhere? Maybe you didn't understand me so I'll rephrase a third time. Why would Choice recruit someone if he doesn't plan on being here?
