2024 Transfer Portal

The only four schools in the country to take absolutely zero transfers in the spring portal window are Army, Navy, Air Force, and.... You guessed it - Clemson.
And GT took 2 transfers who lasted a total of 4 months. What exactly does it matter?

Reality is, unless it’s some high producing player from another P5 school, it’s all a risk / reward at this point. There are a lot of hyped Portal transfers who just bounce from school to school and never have anywhere close to the success they had at the original school.

We took some others though didn't we? I bet everybody had at least a couple come and go. I have always said any kind of recruiting is like poker hands. Most single hands do not matter but a whole bunch do.

Correct. GT has had most stay and are still in the mix for others. Hopefully some of the ones on D really make an impact in the Fall. I think we know the O will put up points.

I don’t follow it too closely, but it seemed like a lot of players left on D. And it doesn’t seem like we’ve brought in as many to replace them. Would love to see a recap somewhere, but is my perception off?

GT in the mix for an OL transfer.

Now, we're talkin...

The Yellow Jackets have been more defensive-focused in terms of bringing in transfers through the portal, but they are still adding depth to one of the ACC's best offensive lines.

From that article:

I like the sound of that. The improvement last year was really good. I hope we continue "Bobby Rossing" the lines.

If you listen to the CBK interview yesterday, he is not worried 1 bit about the offense this year. The main focus has been on D and he believes GT got one of the best DC options out there if you look at Duke’s stats vs the so called level of athlete on the field compared to others.

He may be a good coach, but as CPJ has said "sometimes you can't outscheme physical superiority"

We need the beef.

Maybe CPJ was thinking about defense - he outschemed physical superiority on offense better than just about anybody.

"this year"
Always be working on the next line, both of them. That especially goes for now.

But there were days where it just didn't work and it was brutal.
No way that ever happened. I'd remember it if it did.
