Gotcha. But he was still good enough to make a National All American team / game.
In the end, still a very good OL class + Portal addition (which will likely be another 2 after the Spring Portal window).
Some more national recognition for the soon to be GT DB. This secondary has a chance to be damn good in the near future. Hopefully it stats intact for a few years.

The portal is the future of NCAA football success. I find Beck signing for $4M (4X what he would get as a pro) to make a lot of sense. There is a time clock and he is a proven COLLEGE QB. It takes time to prove yourself, but there is only so much time available to play college ball. Low supply, very high demand, BIG BUCKS.
