A few telling stats

Yeah...but how many of those interceptions did the coach throw?
How many of those penalties did the coach commit?
How is it the coach's fault they didn't score in the red zone?
How many tackles did the coach miss?
The answer is all of them.
Yea but coaches teach discipline. There's a lack of it on this team. If you make a penalty you should be pulled off. Mistakes should have consequences. That's not being too hard on players. I'm all for loving players but to really love them and want them to get better sometimes you have to be hard on them. Consequences reinforces discipline.

How do you not blame coaches? There is a total lack of discipline on the field. 15 penalties! That’s on coaching. I feel like CGC cares more about how he looks than how he coaches. Why the outfit change at half time? Yes players execute the plays but the coaches are not preparing them well for certain situations. This team has loads of talent but overall it’s a bad team. I hate to say it but they are right now. There’s a lack of leadership on offense. It field goal unit looks like a middle school team just learning how to kick and the kickers are playing paper rock scissors to see who will go out to kick.

Did I see correctly that one of the blocked kicks was off the backside of our own lineman? Unreal at this level.

Get them in practice. I'm generally not for pulling a decent lineman (ones we are in short supply) and put in someone who will get our guys killed (more) - just to prove a point.

However, if someone does something egregious, like take a swing at an opponent or run their mouths like an idiot, I'll give them the ol' heave-ho, but pulling someone for false-starting or jumping offsides is a little extreme.

Though I would really like to see someone getting into the facemasks of players every now and then.

I honestly believe we will be alright in the long-run. I'm just not ready to give up so quickly as some others around here.

I’m a Collins supporter but I don’t think he is blameless in our penalty situation. However, CPJ fanboys here seem to imply we were well coached under his watch and we were pretty stupid under his watch too. Face it, CPJ was a one trick pony and that trick was stale by the time he left here so we needed a complete reboot and this is something that we all knew wasn’t a one year or two year turn around.

Thats my point.

I can have Tiger Woods' golf instructor but if I keep dropping my shoulder and hitting 6" behind the ball, I won't be qualifying for the PGA Tour.

There's only so much a coach can do - these PKs just don't appear to be able to handle the mental pressure of playing college football. Because I also guarantee you they aren't this bad when there's no rush in practice. I.E. When it doesn't mean anything.

Some guys are practice allstars and others hate practice but are gamers when it matters. We need place kickers that are both.

You hop off sport -You’re a troll and enough of us know it. I will fight you and I will hurt you.
The fire you guys are showing between one another some how needs to be transferred via osmosis to the team. The game within the game. Gotta love it.
