ACC ded

What a thread hijack, but I'm game. I'm going with 14 though since I think that has turned out well.

Georgia Tech, uga, FSU, Florida, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, VPI, UVA, UNC, NCST, Alabama, Auburn. Just missed: WVU, Pitt. Geography, public only. öööö miami

My 11 other conference opponents are Tulane, Vanderbilt, Clemson, UGA, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, UNC.

Might could trade UNC for LSU. Flip a coin.

It would be a fun conference. We probably wouldn't win much, but, it would be fun.

Why do you want Vandy and UNC?

Nashville is a nice place, geographically close to Tech and Vandy should be a pretty consistent W which is important considering how many pretty consistent L's are on the schedule.

I have no good reason for UNC other than geographic proximity. I hate UNC. On second thought, F' em. Put LSU in the conference.

No to ever playing UNC ever again ever.

And Vandy, nope

This Meatloaf lyric sums up everyone in the ACC right now. Saw this in an article today. BTW Dave Teal is a great follow on twitter for all things regarding the ACC.

So now I'm praying for the end of time
To hurry up and arrive
'Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you
I don't think that I can really survive
I'll never break my promise or forget my vow
But God only knows what I can do right now
I'm praying for the end of time
It's all that I can do (ooh, ooh)
Praying for the end of time
So I can end my time with you

I’ve been to several USC games in recent years and they have on average 75-80k fans. The Colosseum is a huge venue. Very similar to Michigans big house in design except that it’s open on one end and was designed primarily to hold 100K plus for the 84’ Olympics.
As for us I’ve always argued that a majority of our alumni end up working/living outside of GA. Most of the guys in my dorm that I went to school with are spread out all over the country and never come back to see any games in person except maybe bowl games. Plus like many have said here, the types of students we attract here aren’t big sports fans to begin. Still winning will help with attendance but we’re never going to have a majority of our alumni here every Saturday game day like an SEC/ACC factory.
If we win six and are competitive in the six we lose, we'll start getting fans back. During the Collins years, it was just painful and depressing to watch Tech football. It was like watching the news on TV. Brace yourself: This is going to be depressing and make you mad.

Well, now it's time to start turning the corner and fighting our way back to respectability. It won't be easy, but we can do it. To Hell With Georgia!
