I wouldn't hate it if we took the pants and helmet color that UCLA is wearing right now for "rambling wreck gold." Little but darker than our urine gold, and pretty good matching the helmet to the pants.

In all fairness, it's basically the same teams in the playoffs every year. Watching college football is like watching StarWars Ep7. No surprises at the macro level...we've all seen it play out before.

Well, Wisconsin and Auburn are Under Armour, and Miami is Adidas, so there was a reasonable chance to buck the trend this year, but none of those teams got it done.. Nike probably has, what, 70 or 80% of the schools, so it stands to reason.

I've heard it from a few people that have somewhat decent connections to the GTAA. Makes sense, why would they buy all of these flags using some random shade of gold if they are going to switch to another one soon?

Because that is exactly how GTAA would handle branding.
