Another CPJ Recruiting Thread

I for one am impressed we had 300+lb lineman who put 80% of their weight on their hands all game. These guys must have been able to do some pretty impressive hand stands. 300+lb dudes walking on their hands is pretty impressive. Kudos to Paul for recruiting such incredible athletes.

Yeah, but they had really skinny legs. Must have had brains made of lead to get the center of mass that far forward.

I think a good recruiting staff is more important at a school like Tech than it is at many places. The difference in recruiting results between a great recruiting staff and an average one at programs like UGA, Florida, Texas, etc. is minimal since they're going to be top 10 either way. But at Tech that can be the difference between classes in the 20s and classes in the 50s.

And yes, of course the actual coaching is key to winning and no one is going to be happy with a Gailey-esque ceiling. A distressingly large number of Tech fans get caught up in this false dichotomy of "good coaching or good recruiting."

This is a fine thread with fine posters making fine posts but I'm going to take the advice that I'm about to get in the next post and duck out because I am completely mentally exhausted with this particular subject matter.
