Apparently GT is NOT one of the hardest jobs in football

So you link an article that has a stupid opinion from stupid people and its behind a paywall?

Awesome - I will sign up and pay up so I can tweet links to the article to mock its conclusions.

On second thought, I'll just finish my lunch.

If we wanted to be a college football doormat, Tech wouldn't be considered a hard job. However, Tech is not waving a white flag so Stansbury has to raise funds. I'm not sold on Stansbury yet. He sees those empty seats every home game which should alarm him due to the loss revenue. I give him credit for his IA2020 funding campaign and the once a year football game at MBS, but I wonder if waiting for our football fortunes to change might be getting late. Does Stansbury have the persona to sell Tech football statewide? I just haven't seen any significant effort to maintain our season ticket renewals or major attempts to gain new fan support outside of Georgia Tech.

Vandy, Kansas are hard like Duke and Wake. Near impossible to win big, hard to win 9 games but they are happy with .500.

Miami is not hard. WSU isn’t. Texas isn’t.

Nebraska is tough.

Auburn is hard because they have to compete directly with Bama but isn’t hard compared to many schools.

GT has higher expectations than Duke and Vandy but still some of the same challenges. Not sure have the “math” works out there.

The "math" works out in the same way the coaches poll is "accurate".

What are we having?

Auburn has 2 undefeated seasons and a natty in the past 20 years. Mutliple coaches have done well there recently. Not a hard job. Silly article is silly.
How about I make you the manager of a Church's Chicken that's right next to a Chick-fil-A and I tell you that you're expected to drive more revenue than them.

I would think Auburn is hard because expectations and reality aren't quite aligned. Win big but not big enough and boosters push you out.

Not that hard. I just make sure the claymore mines are pointed in the right direction.

I would argue Miami is hard, since you have to cheat to actually have success.

See both 30 for 30s for details.
