I'm pretty sure Howard had a kid. That's a lot to have on your plate at his age.

They changed the rules this year. You can play in 4 games and still redshirt now.

Called it when I saw the hit. It hyperextended in an unnatural way and I imagine it will take a long recovery, even if there is no surgery.

Did nobody else see his knee hyperextend when he got hit on his last carry? I thought it was ACL for sure, but he seemed okay walking around on the sideline.

So I sit down for lunch, open this tread for an update ...and I’m now updated.

First thoughts are for Benson to have a full recovery and continuation of his career -to work hard in rehab and in the classroom.

I’m simply disgusted, but from a football perspective we now turn to Mason. Time to step up and make the most of your opportunity.

So weird. I re-watched Goldfinger last night for the first time in many years. Supposedly the first use of the idea of laser on film; first Ford Mustang (few months before it actually came out) and there's even a tracking GPS in 1964. Lots of "you can do that" in this film, though no Iron Man suit.

PS. Very sorry to hear about KirVonte. He is a special talent, and any kind of injury is sickening when you think of all the work and discipline these kids have put in during the off-season. It may seem like a curse or bad luck to the fans, but for the kid himself, it's like the end of the world. Hope he heals very quickly.

No way. If the line holds up, Mason and Howard will produce. I want us to throw less. Our O needs to be death marches 4 yards at a time.

Can we just have 4 ~15 minute death marches per game? we just onside kick and win every game 28-0. Only problem is onside kick will have good starting position.

Sucks for Benson, hope he recovers. He could carry 3 or 4 defenders for an extra few yards, even though in the open field it looked like he was stumbling through quicksand. We won't be any worse off with the backups.

We lost Marshall because he could not get out of CPJ’s doghouse over complaints regarding blocking, while Mills never went into the doghouse with bad decisions off the field. Marshall could have been amazing these past two seasons.
