Psychologize it however you will, beating Georgia is the most important thing to me.He's a troll, man. This is what he does, the idea is to reinforce the inferiority complex he projects onto the rest of the fanbase by stirring us up about Georgia when we are trying to talk about Tech. Don't feed him, maybe he'll literally starve to death in real life. Or get hit by a bus. The world is full of possibilities.

Could you imagine saying a QB is the best Tech QB ever if they never beat Georgia?
I agree 100% with this list!!!!!!!My Top 10
1. Joe Hamilton
2. Shawn Jones
3. Justin Thomas
4. George Godsey
5. Josh Nesbitt
6. Billy Lothridge
7. Kim King
8. Wade Mitchell
9. John Dewberry
10. Reggie Ball
WOW a 3TO QB JT5 threw 40 tds... That is prettty impressive....ranks 5th....Allow the statistician in the house to bring in some data points. Obviously the game has changed over the years so data, while an important aspect of ranking QB’s, is not the sole factor.

He's absolutely one of my favorite Tech players, good, bad, and REGGIE NO. My first game as a season ticket holder was Auburn 2003 and Iwatched the students lift him up in the air. I will love that guy forever.Hamilton by far #1, and Jones #2, but I am surprised that only one previous post has mentioned Reggie Ball. Although he made a few idiot moves, his stats would say that he could belong in the top 5.
Stolen from the trustworthy Wikipedia.....
"Ball was the first true freshman to start at quarterback for Georgia Tech since Stu Rogers in 1980.[2] Ball's first start was in the Yellow Jackets' opening game against BYU in 2003. Since then, he missed just one game and amassed 8,128 passing yards, 57 touchdown passes and 9,579 total yards of offense in his career, but also threw 55 interceptions. Ball's passing yards total is third on Georgia Tech's career list, behind Joe Hamilton and Shawn Jones, and his touchdown pass and total offense totals are second behind Hamilton.[1] Ball accumulated 11 rushing touchdowns and also rushed for 1,451 yards in his career, good for 18th on the Yellow Jacket leaderboard and second among Tech quarterbacks in history (Hamilton).
This, all day.Ham
Nesbitt
Billy Lothridge finished runner up behind Roger Staubach…the media darling of that era.Wasn't Joe Hamilton a Heisman runner up? Have we have any other QBs like that? Not sure if they're the "best", but in my lifetime I enjoyed watching Nesbitt, Dewberry, Hamilton, Jones. I'd say Hamilton, Nesbitt and Jones felt like I was witnessing something special. This is no particular order, btw.
Anyone surprised by this stat wasn’t paying attention during his career or just believes the 30 hate propaganda. Those offenses were big play machines unless hampered by poor WB play.WOW a 3TO QB JT5 threw 40 tds... That is prettty impressive....ranks 5th....
Pretty much every QB from '47-'56 has 2. The only exception is Bill Brigman. He only started one year and won the National Championship.Duh, right. Clear #1 Lothridge then. I bet there are some others historically who won 2
It took no less than Roger Staubach to beat out Lothridge for the Heisman. Not many QBs in any era kicked, punted, and played QB, and later played Safety in the NFL. Joe was simply robbed of it by lard butt.Billy Lothridge and Joe Hamilton.......only two for Tech to finish second for the Heisman. Everyone else is in the second tier
Shawn was a good bit more powerful than Joe, but Joe was water bug quick with a beautiful long ball.Joe and Shawn had the same skill set but were a decade apart so they are tied. Shawn would have put up similar numbers if it was the same era. Watch those 1990 highlights and Shawn is Joe.
