Maybe we need someone that can build the character of the existing characters we have currently. Then again multiple 3 win seasons has hopefully thickened some skins.

There is a crew at Auburn who are sour on Harsin. I was hearing rumors mid-season of people wanting him out and I don't even have insider connections there. Given Auburn's history, I could see powerbrokers at Auburn using this for a reason to make him go away.

Listen, I don't know if she slept with him. It's possible she did, often there is fire where there is smoke.

But I don't see how pointing out that she makes a salary equivalent with other people in her position proves anything, or even hints at anything.

It's also a little uncomfortable to me that people seem to be assuming she is unqualified simply because she is a young woman and pretty, when I would guess they have no idea what qualifications are normally expected of that position and have no idea if she meets them or not.

It reminds me of when the UN said that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman wasn't an appropriate role model for young girls because her breasts were big.

Then I'll clarify my position. I hope Harsin is doing daily reenactments of the first Thanksgiving with this girl and I sincerely hope it makes them both very happy. I hope Harsin's wife is either okay with it, or has a staff of her own to seek comfort with. I don't care who bones who and it's none of our goddamn business and this puritanical monogamy obsession we hang on to is one of the most pathetic and enduring vestiges of our days spent burning one another alive for being witches. For all I know, this woman is legitimately good at her job and I assume that's the case, because there are probably plenty of young women around the SEC who would be great in an assistant position and whichever others the two consenting adults may find pleasing.

All of this bullshit is sad and sexist and ööööing retarded and everyone talking about this should be unironically ashamed of themselves because this is childish nonsense and it's apparently about to turn the lives of three people upside down.

Even if every single cent of her salary were demonstrably compensatory for her talents in bed, it doesn't ööööing matter. I can make a better argument for paying this girl 60k to polish knobs than for paying the same to some twerp whose job is to carry around a clipboard and get screamed at by a coordinator.

There's no room for meaningful discussion of this issue because it's not a meaningful matter. Three people's lives are on fire for absolutely no reason but to entertain us, but there are so many jokes to make and edgy takes to retweet so who gives a öööö?

I dunno. This young lady is not some celeb. She does not appear to be particularly rich, or powerful, or have put herself in the public eye. She's a relatively modestly paid, relatively low level, assistant at a mid-level state college sports program. She's probably someone's daughter, sister, friend . . . I guess I do not feel comfortable dragging the name, image, and reputation of someone like that through the mud on nothing more than a rumor - without any evidence to back it up. YMMV.
 
If anything, us only paying a little less than $60k is no where near enough. That's not enough to afford even a studio apartment in Atlanta these days.

These people are not just a randon man and woman - they are a boss and a subordinate. The possibility of overt or even just subconscious pressure for a woman to become sexually involved with her boss in such a situation is profound. We frown upon it for good reasons, which have absolutely nothing to do with what you label a "puritanical monogamy obsession." Many/most companies have explicit policies against it for good reason. And people get fired for it all the time. And if that was what happened here, he should rightfully expect to be fired. And not because of any "puritanical monogamy obsession."
