:laugher: What the hell are you even talking about? I don't know how you work, but I use a laughing emoticon to signify instances in which I laugh or find something funny. That's belittling to you? Goodness. Internet trailblazer? Are you just pulling words out of a hat and posting them? Nothing I've said has been close to anything you're talking about here.

Sigh. I guess I just shouldn't have shared my opinion. But, my opinion is that any complaint, in any form, about running up the score is whiny and weak and pathetic. I don't even know a nice way to say that. Can you give me an example of a nice way to say that? Not that I need to adjust the way I express myself to accomodate everyone, but I am curious.

Yes, dumplin'. See, there's a difference between calling someone weak and pathetic because they have a different opinion than you do and telling someone they're being a dick because they're incapable of holding opinions that don't involve derogatory remarks.

Nobody should ever tolerate having their speech regulated. Also, was "asshole" the nicest way you could have said that? Oops, are you being [gasp!] inflammatory!?

You know, my opinion might be blunt and there might be a thousand people here that think I'm a jerk because I characterized complaining about running the score up as weak whining, and they're entitled to think that, but I find it amazing that you are not aware of your own condescending, self-righteous tone. If you think that you are always super-polite and never come off like a prick, you may need to reexamine yourself. And I'm not saying you're the worst guy in the world. I'm sure I have agreed with a lot of what you have posted. On this particular thread, you have your opinion and you don't like mine and you think I was rude. That's okay. I get it. But stop acting so self-righteous. You are not a moral paragon and you can be a prick sometimes too.

I did actually intend my link above on this post to be an olive branch for you (and anyone else) by the way. I hope you enjoy it.

Butch isn't classless. We just scored a long TD and tried an onside kick, so we were clearly still fighting for the win. Butch decided to end all that. I think it's extremely gay for people to call that classless.
 
Wow I never expected my comment to create such a hubbub. LOL I was just taking out my post game anger. And yes I still hate UNC. I can't wait for next year to get back at those Heels.

So here's the scenario... There's 4:18 left, the other team (GT) has been gaining yards all day long but shooting themselves in the foot but has just proven they are one step away from a TD on any play. You're only up by 14. The other team has shown a willingness to go for an onside kick if they score.

Do you really think it is time to take your foot off the gas? I wouldn't. And I don't fault Butch Davis either. I feel that it was totally rational to go for the points to put the game out of reach. Aside from that he's trying to send his team a message that when you have a good team down you don't let off the gas.

I disagree with you that it is classless or that Butch is classless with regard to that event. Of course you're free to your interpretation. I do agree that I can't wait to return the favor next year. Teams need to get their shots in on us now before things start to come together for us.

The game wasn't over yet, and we'd just scored on an 80 yard run. Davis did what a good coach should do in that circumstance. Anything less would be Chanesque.
