Are you questioning the fact that I didn't recognize his name? I hate to tell you, but not everybody for ANY SCHOOL knows everything about recruits or even individual players on the teams. The important thing is that, whether or not a fan knows all the recruits, players, coaches, or whatever, the important thing is that he or she is a fan. If you were indeed questioning the fact that I didn't know, that comes off to me as a very offputting remark, but sadly it seems to be typical of way too many Tech "fans", and is one reason we can't attract more. Why would a new fan want to be subjected to demeaning remarks or implications?
 
Whatever, nothing new. I'd rather get paid at a good program than have to deal with GT classwork on a poorly coached team.

To a degree, but not when you’re looking at a P5 school getting blown out by a Bowling Green. Have to at least look competitive.

I'd imagine the chirping he heard after the BG game was too much to overcome. Some folks have conviction whereas some waiver when adversity occurs. It's about character, or lack thereof.

No, I'm not questioning that you didn't recognize his name. But there is a pinned thread for this year's recruiting class and on the most recent page is a prominent post about how important this commit is to our class. While you might regard my response as off-putting, the "so who is this guy?" post might be offputting to those who go to so much trouble to mine the bottomless pit of Social Media sites to find and bring to our attention valuable information such as the commitment of such a high-profile player.

Not much point in having a 2024 Recruiting Class thread if no one reads it.

That’s stupid. It has nothing to do with character. We suck right now, and there’s no hiding it. He won’t be the last to decommit as long as this train wreck continues.

I did a quick scan of the recruiting thread and didn't see anything. I'm not saying there was nothing there, but I didn't see it. Maybe next time someone asks a legitimate question about a recruit or anything else regarding the school, you should just post the link to the info, rather than saying. "Really?" If you don't understand what a turnoff an answer like that is, then there is obviously nothing I can say. I have no idea how old you are, but I have quite likely been following the Jackets longer than you have been alive. If a long-time fan like me finds your response off-putting, just think for a second how a new or sidewalk fan might feel.
