Catchall Deion Sanders Thread

Why? He made an illegal play and classlessly taunted after the fact even ignoring that it had already been flagged (because that would interrupt his showboating). That's exactly the play Deion epitomizes.
Should have been TWO 15 yard penalties on the play. His hot and, I believe, taunting/excessive celebration. Colorado is a ööööing train wreck waiting to happen. If they were in the BIG10/SEC/ACC, they would be getting destroyed.

Colorado's season playing out like it has shows the real power of media propoganda .. those first couple of weeks you'd get shouted down if you said anything other than Colorado is a new CFB dynasty.

Colorado has a very hard road to get to 6 wins at this point. The epic 2nd half meltdown against Stanford pretty much cemented no bowl. Remaining schedule:

Oregon State - 6-2
Arizona - 5-3 (who just beat Oregon State)
@ Wazzou - 4-4 (on a 4 game losing streak after beating Oregon State)
@ Utah - 6-2

That said, the media already made them champions in September.

and i'd say 0-4 more likely than 2-2 with that schedule ..

I commented on a FB post from a FB friend of mine weeks ago about Deion. Pretty mild FB post, since I am pretty benign there. He answered to keep that öööö on my own page and stay off his. He is the ultimate Deion fanboi now. Geared up with Colorado "I ain't hard to find" hoodies, shirts, hats....

Might as well just play flag football at this point. It was a shoulder pad tackle and absolutely clean in the NFL. The helmet hit second after the pads and he didnt lead with it. Almost every tackle has a helmet hit in it. Thats why it’s a contact sport. Perfect hit that every secondary coach in the nation teaches their CBs. And if anyone thinks otherwise they obviously have never played the sport.

Nothing wrong with celebrating when you make a nice play on D. Offensive lineman can hoist a running back up in the air to celebrate a touchdown, but its “excessive celebration” to flex your muscles after a tackle? Soft.

It ABSOLUTELY was a helmet to helmet. I don't know WTF you watched, but it was TEXTBOOK helmet to helmet. Right under his chin with the helmet to the facemask. It is why the offensive player went down hurt, thankfully not badly. Put down your bias for two damn seconds and watch the play again. The refs were right there. The replay confirms.

Absolutely NOT a perfect hit, unless you mean perfect illegal hit.

You obviously didn't watch all the angles. His helmet hit under the facemask before the shoulder contact. Snapped his head severely.

I did. It was confirmed as targeting by the replay officials but its still a bad call. Sanders didnt lead with his helmet nor was the TE defenseless (wasnt blindside). Yes, Sanders makes contact with the facemask first but only after the TE folded. By this logic, everytime a RB runs between the tackles it should be targeting.

Regardless of his ejection, still a good hard football play and would win an appeal in the NFL.

I’d like to think Deion told his son 1) “I love your intensity, but you’re no good to your team if you’re sent off”, and 2) “That’s an end zone dance, son. You do that after a pick six or a kick return to the house. Not after making a tackle.”

It was the correct call. Admitting you're wrong must be incredibly difficult for you
