CGC naysayers check in

Monken would have been a much better selection than Collins. With this coaching staff it is going to take five more top 20 recruiting classes just to get us back to being a .500 team.

Great reply with a lot of deep, thought out content. What has Collins and his staff shown you since he has been here that gives you any reason to believe that he is a better selection?

What has he not? Expectations by some of the fan base is comical at this point

Expecting to go a game without an illegal participation penalty isn't that much to ask. Our coach cannot even get the basics right.

He is 4-11 at this point with 8 of those losses coming by 17 points or more. He lost to the Citadel and a terrible Syracuse team not to mention the Temple, VT, UGA, and UCF debacles. He teams are some of the worst GT has seen in 25 years. They are penalty prone and undisciplined.

Second season, at this point our penalty problem is on him as far as I'm concerned. Most of these are not effort penalties, they are preparation and football IQ penalties.

Keep scrolling down that stats screen and there is lots of positives to be had

Again ....what were you expecting

Sure, there definitely are. And I'm not giving up on him yet.

But you asked what he hasn't shown, and so far he hasn't shown the ability to put an organized, prepared team on the field. And that's not an unreasonable expectation in his second season.

Penalties and turnovers kill lots of teams but can be fixed. FG kicking is also a concern. All fixable

He’s a poor man’s Les Miles. We need significant growth in the discipline and game prep areas. We have a CEO coach without the wingmen to make it work. The coordinators are not top quality.
