I am well aware that Collins needs more to be a success at GT. That’s why I want to see some better coordinators brought in soon. Slightly above average coaching leads to 3 more wins than the team has now.

Recruiting is an IMPROVEMENT when compared with the past recruiting at GEORGIA TECH. It is not excellent yet in comparison with the rest of the country and the conference. Combine that with no particular identity or direction on the field and this is what we have.

This is pretty spot on. I keep hearing how he's going to recruit elite players to win. His recruits are young so we're still playing CPJ players. Once he gets his roster we be good.

I call bullshit. If you are getting elite recruits, they play for three years then go pro. It's doesn't take them three years to contribute on what the same people are saying was the least talented roster in the history of college football

If if we are recruiting slightly better, our asshole coaching is so bad, it doesn’t matter. This staff sucks.

Sorry you found yourself targeted by the bed wetters over there. It’s a shame because it used to be a good message board. They’ve alienated a lot of people worth following, some banned & others either left or just post way less. There’s a cabal that stalks people, trying to find ways to run them off. I’m sure you know who they are.

Wow, Liberty, I had no idea how crazy it had gotten. I wish Eric still was main moderator over there. Not sure what happened to him years ago, but he started a great site, & now it appears to be Stalin-like.

I was here first many years ago. That is why I have the moniker, “Dodd-like”, and I guess I’m back. I do enjoy most of the humorous stuff at this site, but some of the personal and offensive attacks bother me at times. But, I would rather see a site like this allow too much than cancel people.

I agree to the extent that, though obnoxious and immature, there should be no bans. I just hope that certain posters would clean up their acts.
BTW, how does one get (or change) a moniker? I have no idea what a "flats noob" is, but I don't think I am one. LOL

It used to be based on the number of posts. You would get a better moniker when you reach a certain number of posts. Don’t know if it’s still that way or not?

Agree completely with the coordinators part, but I don’t feel sorry for him at all. I might feel sorry for him if it were impossible to win at Tech and he was honest. But it’s not, and he isn’t. Geoff is spouting off every excuse under the sun, meanwhile coaches who took over worse rosters are out there going to bowls in their first or second year.
 
I kind of feel like we have the Blues Brothers coaching our team.

We love them and wish they were good but alas, they aren't.

Time to fess up and do what needs to be done.
 
Geoff is a big boy (other than not being able to make eye contact with people at presser and angling his head down like my 7 year old nephew who knows he's in trouble/guilty). He's getting paid alot to take the heat... no sorrows thrown his way. This could be worse but has makings to potentially be a fiasco if some goods things don't start happening IMO. Hell, even TSTAN essentially all but admitted in their mutual press conference when he was "inaugurated" that he pretty much thought he might have been "sold" because CGC "said all the right things". Pretty telling in my humble little opinion

God help us all.

Instead of douching up every thread about how you think everyone else should post, why don't you create a new thread titled "How I think everyone else should behave on this board" where you can copy/paste "bad" posts and provide your guidance on how to improve.
