Guys, we have to let it play out (year 3 and 4) before making any complete judgments. but i know how hard that is after a game like last night. I was a CPJ guy but agree a change was absolutely needed. time will tell as to whether CGC is right or wrong for us. we shall see.
as to the head coach, i'll only make one statement. you can many times exclude the O and D performances, as the OC/DC lead a lot of that. head coaching almost always shows up in five or six key areas. among them recruiting, organization, special teams, clock management and in-game decisions, penalties and poise. take a look at almost any great coach and you'll see the advantage he has in most all of these areas. right now i'd argue we are losing in most of these. that said, we have to let it play out. we made our bed, let's support him and try to keep some energy alive in the off season to aid recruiting. hopefully we don't tank against Miami and can come out of 2020 with positive momentum.
lastly one thing. 2020 is NOT a throwaway year for the program. don't buy into that loser's mentality. 2020 is as real here as it is in ALA, ND or Clemson. Losers call it a throw-away year, winners called it an opportunity. so let's go beat the dogshit outta Miami!
