Collins speaks

Not sure that we faced anything that others haven't faced but in addition to the OL transfers not panning out, we had a true freshman start on the OL two years ago that seemed to regress last year. Just not sure what convinces anyone that we have the capability to take transfers and make them better. We can only hope.....
Well, if we were Pitt, you think we would have been in a better position? A well seasoned 5th year QB. Seniors, 5th year seniors, graduate students on both lines. A hell of a good TE transfer from UF. One of the best WR's to return in CFB.

Same story with ND.

Same story with UGAg. Hell, their top 10 pick DT would have been a top 10 pick last season and, for some reason, his dumb ass got talked into returning to UGAg to "finish the drill". BTW, the "finish the drill" = Kirbs needs to get paid. Playing another season was dumb. Take the millions if you are a top 10 pick, dumbasses.

Winning a conference or a natty is a good feather to have in your hat, but ultimately the coach wants you there so he can get pay raises.

This is the same as saying parents whine when they scold a child for throwing a tantrum in the middle of the store.

Derogatory slurs about the staff and the same vacuous commentary in every thread isn’t “criticism”. It’s coping because you can’t control yourselves and use a message board for group therapy.

“Clown man bad”
But wait, clown man is bad, right? :lol2:

In our defense, both of our major OL transfers occurred during a weird Covid period. One decided to skip football for a season and it was painfully obvious he was done with football during the season. There has been somewhat of a return to normalcy and this portal class recruiting season just doesn't seem as weird as the prior ones. I have faith we are approaching the portal aggressively

We got the TE from Syracuse because he is done for the season. I believe there are portal players committed to us who are still to play a bowl game

So we can play the "they will all suck because of staff" game or we can believe the new OC and Key will bring in some needed, quality players. One way or the other, we have to get to work.

I do suspect we need a rework of our S&C program. Not sure what we are doing is paying off. We need to look at our workouts being specific to positions. Our DB's looked jacked, but slow. I would bet Juanyeh Thomas will lose weight training for the combine to pick up speed. Should have been how he played this last season.
I have appreciated your contributions to this thread.

at the presser, writers should have asked a followup question, "If your 20+ year friends that were fired were such elite leaders
and made such high-level contributions toward building the program, then how did we have Three 3 win seasons in a row?"

So when Collins speaks, what comes out of his mouth? This guy does a deep dive on what Collins (and Stansbury) has said since August. And it's not pretty.

We went #1 & #7 and cancelled the thread. If you delete stuff from the internet or prevent people from commenting, öööö just magically goes away and all is good.

Not everyone, Have you read the comments on this thread alone? We have a öööö ton of life's losers here who are apparently quite pleased with 3-9 on the regular.
These are the same people who settle for girls who are overweight and treat them like crap because they don't think they could do any better.

Maybe @GTRules just knows that starting every post with "coach is a moron" just isn't a productive statement. Collins absolutely will be our coach next season. He is hanging by a thread, but he is our coach. It would be nice to start taking constructive looks at what we are doing and what needs to be done BY OUR CURRENT STAFF. Not Urban Meyer. Not "we are hiring Nick Saban". No fantasies about a billionaire coming in and buying is a $9 million per year coach.

Our recruiting class was low on numbers, but we got what we needed, 2 four star DT's being the crown on it.

It would be nice to talk Gibbs out of leaving. With Mason gone, there will be plenty of carries for a three headed monster. Our freshmen coming in at RB need to redshirt, but I would like to see them play the max amount of games to get some experience and still be able to RS.

Hopefully our kicker is a game changer. No telling how many games we took ourselves out of because we either missed FG's or didn't take FG opportunities because we already knew any attempt was a long shot.

Now on to the portal or grad students. Hopefully, like I mentioned, we sway Gibbs back home. We need some good, experienced OL.

I would think we could look at some of those big guys out of a place like Michigan or Ohio State looking for a grad degree. I don't know who we have eyes on. I suspect we have some in pocket who are unannounced because of bowl season and once bowls are complete, they announce for us. Makes sense to not disrupt any bowl they are playing in.
Coach is a moron. Nuff said, deal with it.
