Agreed, just because g**** c****** was a bad coach doesn't make this bad marketing.
I understand why it might have left a bad taste in some people's mouths but we shouldn't let one coach define that. It should be bigger than he who shall not be named.

Dude, I say the same thing about the swastika all the time. People in India don't let a brief spell in another country where it symbolized the wrong thing get in the way of the eons of history associated with the symbol being associated with good fortune and the four corners creation stories.

I’ve always been on board with owning the ATL and the 404 stuff. It’s not that I think it was a bad idea or that we should totally abandon it, it’s that my gut reflex is to be repulsed by it because of its association with Collins. Maybe if we give it a rest and win some games, we can reclaim it eventually.
