My family is from tifton and I lived there for my formative years.

My grandmother never ended a word with a vowel. If a word ended with a vowel the always added the “r.”

I'm still in Tifton. My Grandmother still does it. Particularly noticeable when she says "idea-r" or "eye-dee"

Since you have been gone the UGA Tifton campus has placed five painted ceramic bulldogs across town. Including one to the entrance of my subdivision.
