If Chan had hired a good OC he would have won a butt load of games. Chan was a terrible play caller.

If Johnson could have recruited defensive players like the ones he inherited Tech would have had a lot of years like 2014. That 2008 defense was loaded.

I was frustrated by being non-competitive with ugag and Clemson near the end of CPJ's run. I thought it was time to try something new. Not to fire him, but I was ok when he hung it up. I was an idiot.
CPJ is the best pure football coach I've personally witnessed here at. GT. I have a ton of great memories from his tenure and I'm proud he was our football coach.

We had so many injuries early that season. It was record-setting. Had to be.

I’ve made the joke before but that season with injuries was like Omaha Beach… we were going around campus asking for scout team players.

I'll also put the 06 UGA game up there as well. Choice was gashing them that game yet Nix kept trying to force the ball to Calvin. If we kept pounding the ball we run the clock out and win going away. Pretty much same story a week later in the rain in Jacksonville.

Not sure if PJ felt the tension that could be felt elsewhere that final season, but it was palpable from where I sat during the games. The fact that he eeked out a winning season before retiring was amazing to me.
