Didn't Shawn Jones beat 'em twice?I’m going with the JT5 era. Lil Joe and JT5 are the only GT QBs with multiple wins over the mutts in my lifetime. And I am old a öööö.

Obligatory dumbass commentCPJ brought it up. Maybe he should just STFU already.
So nobody cares about our best win against our biggest rival in 3 or 4 decades ?That and a dollar will buy him 1/2 cup of coffee.
Remind me why we care enough to parse all this stuff?
Nobody cares to use it as a club to beat people with.So nobody cares about our best win against our biggest rival in 3 or 4 decades ?

Prolly cause CGC hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record in his 2 years here.Well, if you are only looking for clubs to beat CPJ up with your don't. Unless you are trying to argue that it was CGC's win because he was at GT for a whole year as recruiting coordinator in 2006 and is therefore responsible for not only the entire roster; but also all the wins in 2008 & 2009.
That's what happens when you inherit pee wee sized players who were getting suplexed the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year, save having 4/5 star Justin Thomas bailing us out. We got extremely lucky he wanted to play QB somewhere and didn't stick with Alabama.Prolly cause CGC hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record in his 2 years here.
What year was this team?CPJ also faced the best team UGA has had since 1980 (and did not get beat 52-7).
Do you acknowledge the low standard you have to pass to beat a single team that finishes with a winning record in your first 2 years? That's what happens when you inherit pee wee sized players who were getting suplexed the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year, save having 4/5 star Justin Thomas bailing us out. Otherwise, our 3-O was barely getting the snap off since. We have to upgrade. The players CGC inherited couldn't beat UGAg running the 3-O and they definitely aren't suited to run a passing offense.
We obviously had severely undersized and over matched OL and DL when Collins got here. We are increasing size, length, and skill level across all positions. Are we going to immediately become Clemson? UGAg? Nope.
What year was this team?
Ok. What do you want? For GT to go ahead and fire Collins? What exactly is your point here? Even the teams that had losing records arguably had more talent than us.Do you acknowledge the low standard you have to pass to beat a single team that finishes with a winning record in your first 2 years?
I think he was proud that we had an offense like the triple that could run almost 3 minutes off the clock without getting a first down therefore keeping the score low.Assume he means 2017. We only lost 38-7. Parsing the final score in games we were never competitive in is just sad.
Tone setting wins. Something like beating #10 USC in ‘88, #14 Maryland in ‘95, or #15 FSU in ‘08.Ok. What do you want?
Well, get some serviceable OL, DL, LB's in here already. Name ONE LB from 2018 on our team who would have started in 2007, 2008, 2009. Same for DL and DE. Name one from 2018 who would have been on the 2 deep in 2007/2008. The truth is, our talent level became crap across both lines. There was no Nat Dorsey. There was no Michael Johnson. There was no Phillip Wheeler. No Key Fox. No Vance Walker. Dude, we had FCS talent up and down our roster when Collins took over. Add in that our S&C program was öööö and we were getting tossed around like rag dolls. We had less talent than EVERY team in the ACC. Every single one when Collins took over.Tone setting wins. Something like beating #10 USC in ‘88, #14 Maryland in ‘95, or #15 FSU in ‘08.
Then I guess CPJ is pretty much the greatest coach ever and the people giving the interior of our lines All ACC honors year after year are just dumb.Well, get some serviceable OL, DL, LB's in here already. Sorry but this is ridiculous. Johnson quit because he knew his system was toast between rule changes and lack of recruiting. Collins took over a team without a QB. How many above .500 teams can anyone beat without a QB let alone all the other issues this team had.Do you acknowledge the low standard you have to pass to beat a single team that finishes with a winning record in your first 2 years?
CPJ's flash out was managing to get a player of Justin Thomas' skill level. Otherwise, his recruiting was mediocre. Then I guess CPJ is pretty much the greatest coach ever and the people giving the interior of our lines All ACC honors year after year are just dumb.
I think Brandon Adams would've been great in 2019.
0, if your coach is Geoff Collins apparently.Sorry but this is ridiculous. Johnson quit because he knew his system was toast between rule changes and lack of recruiting. Collins took over a team without a QB. How many above .500 teams can anyone beat without a QB let alone all the other issues this team had.
Name the best skill player CPJ inherited from Gailey0, if your coach is Geoff Collins apparently.
More than that if your coach is Bill Curry, Bobby Ross, or George O’Leary apparently.
Name the best skill player CPJ inherited from Gailey
Now, compare. Name the best skill player Collins inherited from CPJ
Repeat for the entire roster.
