You don't deserve to put Chevy Chase as your avatar. You remind me more of Judge Smails.

This crowd has gone deadly silent, a Cinderella story outta nowhere. Former greenskeeper and now about to become the masters champion ...

okay czar, i concede. you are correct. i guess without football there is no reason to stay at UGAy. (not that there was much reason to be there in the first place) i dont blame the guy...i probably would have done the same thing.

QFT. This was Tech's problem for years, but I thought they were slowly addressing these concerns over the last 5 years or so. At least I've been told that. I had professors I couldn't understand because they barely spoke English. Passing them was hard enough, but you pretty much had to study all the material and learn it on your own because you certainly weren't going to learn anything from the professor.

This is the biggest reason why GT is so hard. It has nothing to do with the material, its the system of support and the people they have teaching.

According to someone high up in the ME department, the professor's pay increases were tied somewhat to their class evaluations. That's probably why I was impressed with each ME teacher I had while the math and physics teachers all sucked.

I've also taken a few classes with football and basketball players. Last I checked, they didn't have anybody taking their tests for them and they did their projects themselves. The classes weren't exactly rocket science, but they did real work unless the teacher himself was implicit in some cheating scheme.

Here's the deal bama, if what you post on this thread is what you actually believe about Tech you clearly don't know anything about the school. Personally if that's how yo think we approach athletics, I'd just as soon you change your allegiance. You actually sound more like a bama fan than a Tech fan to me.

thanks for your input nc, have a good one

I was a math TA for Math for Management, back in the B*** L**** era. No one got special treatment from the professors I worked with. But that is one man's experience.

The bottom line is that a nice chest will get you more help at Tech than a football scholarship. And that includes direct 'help' from the professors.

hey its barrelodumb, i mean rum. Good to see you too! crawl back under buddy

Nobody can contest the wit of an Alabaman!

QFT. There is a place in this world for people who want degrees made of toilet paper, and who believe "cheat to win" is the norm - UGA and Bama. Shoo. Drive slowly with your windows down, next time you're in Tuscaloosa, they'll throw a diploma in your back seat.
