The entire school is. I seem to remember a story about how sketchy the online programs are. Essentially, they are set up as nothing more than a vehicle to generate student loan money. They are essentially like The University of Phoenix or Devry when it comes to student loan schemes. I believe it was on a Spotify podcast. Maybe Gangster Capitalism.

I think you're misinformed about the quality of education that Liberty offers via distance learning. They are accredited by SACS - same as GA Tech. They were also pioneers in distance learning. For comparison, here are the DL courses that GA Tech offered in the Fall 2022 just for the AE curriculum alone.

Chadwell's gone to Liberty. So, where's the announcement on his replacement? Until I hear that I'm calling that "report" baloney and watching to see where that DC ends up.

Horrific defenses and flashy stats appear to be his trademark. He's also got a scandal at Charleston Southern in his past that gets ignored by his fans.

It's interesting and notable that you didn't hear his name mentioned anywhere but here. No Auburn, no Colorado, no Nebraska. Any team that considers or desires their teams to be 'big time football' didn't bother looking at this guy.

7 yrs at Liberty just shows what a joke they are but we knew that when they hired Mr. Escort Service Hugh Freeze.

36% of their students default on their student loans. The school is a scam masquerading as a Christian school and is in no way even remotely similar to Georgia Tech.

You know this? You're amazing.

One of the many areas that SACS looks at is finances and student loans. If there were a systemic issue there, they would be required to correct that issue or risk probation. I can only assume there is not, or they will be hammered on their next review.

I have no connection to Liberty at all, except that they've been around a long time and a couple of their schools have many of the same memberships as GA Tech. They are not near the school that GA Tech is, but then very few are. Their engineering school is also accredited by ABET, same as GA Tech. Their nursing school is accredited by CCNE, the same organization that accredits Emory University.

I am not vouching for them as a high-caliber university, just that they are not a fly-by-night sham.
