Thats how Clemson did it. They went budget on the HC but broke the bank to hire the best assistants.

McElwain was awful and had some weird stuff going on to boot. That would be a horrible call for Tennessee. Since UF appears to be getting Kelly, UT should be pursuing Frost.

Whoever they get, I want Florida and Tennessee to whip uga like a rented mule every year. A strong Florida and a strong Tennessee is good for the world.

And Tennessee will hire a top notch coach AND top notch assistants. Not everyone is the cheap ass bastard you are.

One of my friends is a Florida fan. He'd love for McElwain to take his mediocrity to Tennessee. If he can't win at Florida, no way he wins at Tennessee.
 
McElwain won two titles, or did I miss that? Tennessee would kill to lose like Florida.

I simply do not see any way they get a big name. We shall see.

Would Leach be interested in A&M? Wouldnt he still have Texas recruiting contacts? Could hit the ground running.

Who they gonna get?

I dont think they can get a big name. I just dont. Maybe I am wrong. Has Cutcliffe had enough of being severely disadvantaged compared to your opponents and would like to upgrade to merely disadvantaged?

Assuming no big names are interested, I would pursue the JMU staff first. McElwain with a world class OC would be just a fallback for me. But its a better fallback than Lane Kiffen.
