I told my dad before the series "remember when UVA beat us on a hook and lateral? We should do that"

I was willing to give Gibson the benefit of the doubt that he just lost track of time. Now, I am pissed. He should just not report back to the team and go ahead and call it quits. Good ööööing God I have 5 direct reports and if any one of them said anything resembling that there would be an excellent chance I would be calling HR and starting to work out a severance package.

His prior passes underneath that didn't get a first down were unacceptable. We needed NOTHING that wasn't beyond a first down, including a short pass that *might* get us a first down, but didn't.

He just needs to pack his locker today and get along with his life elsewhere. He obviously isn't competitive enough to play even our sad version of P5 football.

Yea, throwing a 3 yard passes underneath with 36 seconds left isn't winning a ballgame, it is running out the clock.

UGAg may score 70 on is this season, or more. Our defense put up a great effort, but against a team like UGAg, they are going to get beaten down by our loser offense.
 
Not sure who makes the call for media interviews, but seems pretty dumb to put this kid in front of the mic after a game like that — his first ever in the spotlight after he played so poorly. We didn’t do him any favors by letting him put his foot in his mouth. Easily could have just had Nate or Hassan go up there

So he was aware that there were 6-7 seconds left and still decided to NOT spike the ball and set up an actual Hail Mary play. And he rolls to his left (as a RH QB) to try to make a play?

"IIWII" alright. What it is is stupid football. Kid's a quitter. We will almost certainly see him a few more times though. Softie Sims can't finish a game.

This is an excellent point. He should have been protected from the media. He's a kid who clearly was not ready for the spotlight.

He should've been used to no-protection at that point. He'd had about 2 hours of it already.
