Im not sure that’s true about the 50/50 split. Also if what you say about the PSLs are true then they would have had the same rights for UNC.That was always going to be the case. For the UNC game, we controlled all of the seats in the stadium, because it was a home game.
For this non-home game, we control less than half the tickets, since Clemson will get the same amount as us, CFA will keep some for themselves, and Falcons season PSL holders have a right to buy some too. It's basically a bowl game.
Blame GT for giving up a home game to play in something like this if you'd like, but once that decision was made there was really nothing they could do about ticket allocation.

This is what a GTAA ticket rep said. It's possible it is a lie, but it makes sense in my opinion. Which is more likely?
2) GT has less control of ticket allocation when playing in a kickoff game organized by CFA than it did when playing a home game where GT itself rented out the dome and organized the game
Regarding the PSLs, I think they have rights to events that MBS helps to run. I think for the non-CFA GT games, we are simply renting MBS out (as opposed to partnering with them) so they don't have a right to those tickets.
Seems plausible.
I know this is a complex situation (with two different types of deals to play in MBS) that has not been explained very well by the GTAA, but it’s also kinda weird that so many of our fans are having such a hard time figuring it out.

Yea, GT ticket office seems to have embraced an adversarial relationship with all season ticket holders outside of the coddled big donors. I do understand big donors getting the special status, but I swear my relationship with them has pretty much sucked since the beginning. The GTAA seems to have dropped the ball here in terms of communication. They really should have been able to anticipate this reaction and send out a note explaining it. It shouldn't be hard to realize that people would have questions if the game was in the same venue in the same configuration and they're giving out worse seats.

At one point, back around 2006 or so, I asked if I could move up to row 1 of the UN. I was told they were not available. A friend of mine called, having never bought ST's before, and got the Row 1 tix the next day. He called me to his office, while on the phone with the GT ticket office, put them on speaker, and asked "now what row is that?" "Row 1 sir"
I obviously contacted the ST office and the assistant AD. Magically, other row 1 seats popped up. I then said "can I stay where I am and get the two seats next to me?" since I had asked about that before and been denied. Those tix were always "two hotdogs and a coke" seats or just some randoms, but never part of a ST package. Magically, I got them and ended up with my 4 seats I have now. I eventually got to row 1, because of Covid and reseating opportunities.
GT actually made things a bit better with the clear bag policy for ST holders we had for several seasons allowing food and water to be brought in. The stupidity of it now is we have a clear bag policy where you can bring in an empty plastic bottle so you can get water and you can bring in air in the bag. That's it.
I don't know why, as a non grad, I pay $2k per season for this. Hell, I could buy a really nice Hobie pedal kayak for the lake (they are more than 2k) and just go be at peace. Instead, I feel like the last of a dying breed. The GT sidewalk fan.
Anyway, there is my rant. GT makes it as difficult as possible to be a fan.
We are anxiously awaiting that day.Can there be Vad Lee days until kickoff please
At the time, I was in the "just take GOL back" camp. We should have or thrown money at Fridge. We did take over the state for a moment. Friedgen leaving, then the Notre Dame coming for our coach killed us. In hindsight taking O’Leary back and punting on Chan may have been the way.
No one can ever convince me we wouldn’t have won the 2001 FSU game if it had been played on the scheduled date. Sky would have been the limit after that.It was the ööööing terrorists
