GT - Clemson sells out

Is the upper section open or not? I'm seeing secondary market tickets in the 300 level.
Only open for Estonians.

I would expect a more even distribution of it was scalpers. Notice almost no seats available in the sideline non-club sections where the gtaa likely put most season ticket holders.

Doesn't the uneven distribution imply scalpers? Very low availability in sections where only actual fans can go (ie sections where you need season tickets to purchase) and more availability in sections where you can simply purchase and flip?

I don't think single game tickets were ever on sale for this game. Now people with club seats at BDS are reporting they weren't seated in club seats at MBS. So the only people left with access to those seats are the GTAA and the Peach Bowl.

Sadly this is Collins’ go to pregame hype jam in the locker room

Nothing says GT Football currently like George Michael

In typical CGC fashion, he’s probably hoping someone walks in on him going downtown on TStan

Oregon/uga reserved it for the 3rd, I think. Is their game a sellout with the upper deck open?

Looks that way. I'm checking the Ticketmaster site now. There are only the verified resale tickets, and they're upper and lower decks, no tickets available that are not resale.

Tstan just announced that GT is cancelling all future home games. Will resurrect the program with all away games for extra $$ like FSU did in the early Bowden years. BDS will be rented out as a homeless shelter to the city of Atlanta. It's a win win for everyone.

MBS has a lower capacity than the UGAg stadium.
Why wouldn’t it be a sellout.

I sold peanuts and cokes in the south stands. They were a long ways away.
But I believe the south stands were condemned and had to come down.
That’s what I recall as well (south stands condemned, deemed unsafe). Believe they came down after the 85 season. The aquatic center where swim team trained at the time was condemned a year or so later (86 or 87). Swimming downgraded to a club sport in late 80s, remained non-varsity til after Olympic facilities. Mid to late 80s were a difficult time for GT athletic programs, with bball and golf notable exceptions.

Way back in the 1970's, I had a season ticket in the old horse shoe South Stands. From my seat, because of the angle of the stands, I could only see what I estimated to be 60 percent of the playing field. In later years, I got seats in the Upper West stands. When we played a big enough game to sell the seats in the South Stands, I would watch fans from visiting teams come in, find their seats in the horse shoe, and visibly react when the realized they couldn't see the whole field. The stadium looked better with those old South Stands, but they were horrible to sit in.

On their board, Clemson fans are very agitated that we didn't open the whole MB stadium. They have really let a little football success make them very arrogant. I hope we beat them and get them started on another disappointing season. I used to like Clemson, but not any more. It started with 73-7. I know Swinney running up the score the way he did didn't bother a lot of people, but it sure made a lasting impression on me. Clemson thinks it is wanted by both the SEC and the Big Ten. I half-think the ACC should tell every team in the ACC they have one week to get out for free. I want to see how many invitations each ACC team would get during that week, and what they would say after that.

I got much better tix for UNC than I did for this. I just downloaded mine today. Section 201.

Typical GT. I guess I should have been more proactive securing better seats. I guess buying season tickets for DECADES doesn't make a öööös bit of difference to our ööööty AA and ticket office.

It will be disappointing to see all the Clemson fans who just str8up bought better tix than GT allocated to me.

If I get around to cancelling in several years, I at least can vent to the AA about why I'm leaving.

Why not bitch now. Literally write the AD.

Are our ST's available for download yet?

I have downloaded Clemson. RR says to check back for other ST's

That was always going to be the case. For the UNC game, we controlled all of the seats in the stadium, because it was a home game.

For this non-home game, we control less than half the tickets, since Clemson will get the same amount as us, CFA will keep some for themselves, and Falcons season PSL holders have a right to buy some too. It's basically a bowl game.

Blame GT for giving up a home game to play in something like this if you'd like, but once that decision was made there was really nothing they could do about ticket allocation.
