GT Fan Experience Enhancements

So I'm guessing since this thread has taken one of the most retarded turns of any thread-jack on the board that we have gotten over the new gameday non-enhancements and Stansbury can come out of hiding?

I dislike the SOB now.

Very dissatisfied with GT. Been a season ticket holder for about 12 years and for the first time I'm thinking of not renewing my tickets. First my wife said if she can't bring in her purse she isn't going. She doesn't carry a clutch. Second the clear bag thing pissed me off we carry our yetty cups with ice and bottled comes and did our own comes plus we would stop by firehouse and grab a couple of sandwiches for the game. Now that doesn't seem like a big deal to some of you guys but to me it's simply a principal of the matter. Just pisses me off enough that my 4 season tickets won't matter to GT but tv is free and I've got all the food I can eat in just a few feet away plus not I've got a private bathroom so GT you can keep my 4 seats this year. Good luck. Standsburry maybe you should listen to some of your paying customers.

Wat?

I just gave no idea what he’s talking about. I can’t follow the post
GT athletics had made it more pleasant to go to the game several years back. To enhance our experience moving forward, they are going to make it less pleasant to go to a game. I think it will be more of a TSA, you are all suspects, security theater extravaganza.

On the plus side, GT athletics will get more in line with what the Falcons do, although without those pesky lower concession prices or free refills - unless you want warm, iceless water in your new nerd cup.

Oh my gosh this is officially ridiculous

Purse-gate. The great Cuck Cause of 2018.

Most stadiums do not allow any food or drinks to be brought in. Most other schools make everyone have a ticket, infants included. Buy a drink and a hotdog, pay for a babysitter and watch a college football game. Its not the freeking Stn Mtn lazer show. Its a college football game. I would be OK w less 2 years olds and more drunk rowdy fans who are ok with buying a drink at the concession stand.

Nobody gives a öööö what other schools do. We consistently have below-capacity crowds that don't show up until the 2nd quarter. That's not other schools' problem, that's our problem.

Unlike W-L records, gameday experience is 100% under the GTAA's control. GTAA probably shouldn't listen too closely to fans about how to run our team. They should, however, listen to fans who are dropping season tickets due to stadium policy changes.

Idk about that. All bs cheapness from me aside, doesn't GT rake in some serious cash from alumni?

Not athletics. Look at our stadium, and look at our ticket prices, as you've already pointed out. I know you don't look at it like this, but season tickets really are kind of like a donation to the AA, and there's a reason ours are priced so cheaply compared to other programs.

To me it's just the principal of it. You have given me something now for I think 4 years maybe 5. I have become used to having that little perk. Now for no apparent reason you take something away that I really have come to enjoy about coming to the games. I feel that the "fan experience" is going the wrong way. The only way I can show my dislike is through my pocket book. Season tickets where I sit are around $2500 for my four tickets when the tech fund is added in. Plus I get stinger seats, and pay $16 each game for parking. Now add in fuel to get to the games and we're all over $3000 per season. That does not even count the extra games I buy additional tickets for or the away games I purchase or the bowl games I attend. Taking away that little perk tips the scale for me. Tv is free. It's not hot at a 12:00 game. I don't have to walk by all the non tech people scalping tickets, I don't have to be searched and stuff when entering the game and I have a nice confortable chair to sit in and guess what now I've got 3,000 dollars in my pocket that I can do something else with. It may not seem like much to Georgia Tech but it ticks me off. Enough that I won't give them my dollar any longer. There is no one on this board that loves Georgia Tech any more than I do. But I'm also a consumer and I'm protesting with my pocket book. If more people would stand up then policies would change.

The reason our season tickets are priced lower than other schools is because of supply and demand. there are never enough season tickets sold to create a demand to raise the price. Once again I don't give a rip about what other schools do I am protesting with my pocketbook.

Agreed. The clear season ticket holder bag policy has never been a problem before and yet somehow it became a problem in the off-season? Has there been even one stadium incident due to the clear bags?

I've never had a problem getting into a game. If you have a problem, go in when the band enters the stadium. Don't wait until 10 minutes before kick

There is a problem with the volunteer led concessions. That is where the lines are, especially during the Clemmons and Gagger games. May as well forget seeing the second half kick if you go to concessions in the UN. Of course, you can always skip the last 4-5 minutes of game time of the second quarter if you want to see the second half kick.
